Offered is a more diminutive example of a late 19thC Pharmacy "tool of the trade" known as a pill machine but often referred to as a pill roller.
Pill machines were designed to enhance the productivity of the early pharmacist, and this design was, indeed, popular for many, many years. This pill machine is designed with 24 tubes for medicine-making.
The condition is very good, sporting a nice patina commensurate with its age and use...
Referenced in "The Colors of Murano in the XIX Century" p.128, Item #89, this vessel is typical of designs by Pietro Bigaglia in the mid 1800's. The Glass has the five point pontil mark, indicative of early Venetian Glass, is 3" tall and in excellent condition.

Vishnu hold his attributes, the conch shell in his upper right hand and Sudarshana Chakra (discus) in his upper left. Patina and traces of vermillion pigment. The faces of both deities are smooth from years of reverent handling.

Small Indian Jain bronze depicting the seated figure of Vishnu with Lakshmi seated on his left knee. Lakshmi, the inseparable energy of Vishnu, sits with her right arm around Vishnu's waist. Below him on the rectangular platform is the tiny figure of his vehicle Garuda, identifiable by his tiny but unmistakable wings. Two other smaller figures hold up each of Vishnu's knees.

Offered is Dr. C.H. Fitch's Prescription Scale-- a wonderful, early, pharmacist/doctor, portable, pocket-sized, Victorian era scale! The fancy-scrolled and embellished metal case appears to be brass with nickel plating and reads, "Dr. C.H. Fitch's Prescription Scale Pat Sept 29th 1885" on the top.
The diminutive metal case with scale inside measures approximately 1.5" wide x 2.75" long x .75" deep and is in very nice, original condition. The scale's capacity is 1/2 to 20 grains...

A pair of Japanese Kutani sake cups with scalloped rims and enameled decoration of Phoenix birds, Paulownia leaves and the Tokugawa mon or crest, the interior with auspicious symbols. The Tokugawa clan reigned Japan as Shoguns from 1603 to 1867. Kutani Fuku (happiness)mark in iron red, a mark in use during the Tokugawa period. Height "1 2/3 / 4.2 cm. Condition: each with a short hairline from the rim.

Large, iron figural standing mirror, c.1870. Very decorative - cherubs, women fairies, flowers, hearts, & torch and arrows make up this intricately designed mirror - see photos. It measures 15" wide by 16" long and is extremely heavy. Metalwork is in excellent condition but mirror can use some re-silvering, if desired. Would sit on a dresser but has a back loop for hanging.
