Persian Afshar hand knotted wool rug. The Afshar were a preeminent nomad tribe who crafted high quality rugs. The three stepped medallions in the center is one of their typical designs. The center ground is a dark blue spotted with flowers surrounding the three cream colored medallions that are stepped in red, Age early 20th century. It measures 82" by 58"

Designed by Spratling c. 1950's, this martini pitcher & stirrer were hand wrought in Taxco, Mexico. The pitcher stands 5 1/2" tall & weighs 400 grams. The stirrer/spoon is 10" long. Both are in excellent condition. Both the spoon and pitcher are signed on the reverse. The pitcher is pictured on p. 258 of MEXICAN SILVER by Penny Morrill & Carole Berk. A large vase decorated with an expansive ancient pine by Kawamoto Rekitei enclosed in the original signed wooden box. It is 27 cm (10-3/4 inches) diameter, 29 cm (11-1/2 inches) tall and in excellent condition.
Kawamoto Rekitei was born in Aichi prefecture, home of Seto-yaki and a long standing important production center for Japanese Sometsuke porcelains...

Soapstone Carved Egyptian Sculpture Circa 1890 measuring 9” (Quillen)

This is a beautiful pair of small saucer in the motif of a lotus flowers in a pond. On the saucer, it has a outstanding stalk of lotus flower standing upright in full bloom. Below it, there are also two smaller flowers in full bloom. One of the flowers to the left has the petals dropping off showing the green pod, suggesting that the season is probably near mid summer. Around it, to the left, two butterflies are seen flying around...

Soup's on in this elegant Herend soup tureen in the Queen Victoria pattern, with matching cover, circa 1940, bearing the Herend shield; also marked 1003 / VBO over B; comprising basket weave molding, gilt accents, and hand painted with flower sprays and butterflies; the tureen has four delicate applied flowers and vine twist handles; the cover with a lemon finial.  Measurements: tureen with cover: 15 x 113/4 inches.
