Black mask with an unusual slightly conical coiffe. Africa, Gabon, Punu Peoples. Height: 12 " ( 30 cm). The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Old accidents and infestations (no danger), otherwise good condition. NOTE 1: A similar mask is in the Dapper Museum collection in Paris, published in "Masques" Editions Dapper 1995, 2000, 2006 Paris, page 89. NOTE 2: Punu masks are worn during funerals by members of the "Mukuji" Society and are meant to represent ancestors.

This really pretty Dresden Duchess 12 Inch Handled Cake Plate was made by Harker China. This Cake Plate is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. The decoration and gold trim is all very good. There is some crazing in the glaze indicative to the old china. It does not take away from the beauty of this piece. African, probably Ethiopian teaching board. Extra large 89x39 cm. Heavy wood with black ink Arabic script on both sides. Ex private collection. Can be viewed and collected in central London as excess weight would make shipping expensive.

A beautiful early 20th C. Chinese Shiwan red glazed clay mudman. Done by a very famous Chinese local potter, his work is recorded in the book for this type of work. It's in excellent condition. Signed (Liang Yan Jun)H:32cm

Pair of of Chinese antique spinach green jade plaques. Each is hand carved with a scene of bamboo and another flowering plant with butterflies overhead, all within an incised circle border. Gilt highlights the incised design of both. The reverse of each has been left bare. The stands are later.
