This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Berlin, Germany by KPM, Konigliche Porzellan Manufactor in 1921. There is a date cipher impressed in the porcelain indicating this year. The saucer measures 5 inches and the cup is 2 inches high and 3 ¼ inches in diameter. The porcelain is delicate. It is hand painted with colorful bouquets of flowers in the Meissen style. It has gold trim and gilded accents.

Nice antique bags from Afghanistan with exquisite silk embroidery. Bought these in Peshawar in the mid 90s. There is red satin on the larger bag is new and can be removed the smaller bag has a stain but may wash out (never tried so no guarantees). Small bag 10.7cm/4.2in x 10.cm/4.2in, larger bag is 14cm/5,5in x 16cm/6.3in.
A finely embroidered textile from Afghanistan made by Hazara women, measuring 12 inches by 13 inches. Embroidered in silk thread in mostly filling stich and satin stitch on a white cotton linen background. Although the embroidery designs are geometric and simple, it is the constant change of color on each of the embroidered panels that animates this prayer cloth ("mohr posh"). Late 20th century.
