A fine grouping of stylized creatures including a bird, a duck, a guinea hen, a bowl in crystal with gold aventurine. All of the pieces are in excellent condition, confirmed to me personally to be by Archimede Seguso by his son, Giampolo. Two retain their original Archimede Suguso Murano labels.

Fulvio Bianconi designed the fasce verticale series for Venini. This pair is in good condition. The metal parts show the patina of age. An interesting detail regarding this pair is the rod that runs up the center of the lamp, concealing the wire, is covered with a ribbed clear glass tube which adds an attractive element of finish to the lamps. The lamps are 23" to top of glass.

Fenton's Cranberry Opalescent glass is one of their most popular treatments. Because it is cased glass (french crystal over gold ruby) every piece must be blown rather than pressed. This hand-work makes each piece unique. Offered here is the 389 jug in their hobnail pattern. This piece was produced from 1940 to 1948 and stands 5 1/2 inches high. This fine pair of Italian lamps came with a store tag attached to one of the switches that said, "Quackenbush Co. Patterson NJ. This was a local department store that existed from the 1800's to the early 1950's, a fact which provides us a date. The lamps appear to have never been used, in excellent condition and are a nicely matched pair On close inspection one can see that the lamps are hand made , yet nearly identical, pointing to the expertise of the Murano Glass Artisans.

A fine 20th century studio lacquer charger. Persimmon orange-red lacquer with decoration of peony blossoms incised to an under layer of black lacquer in the Kamakura manner (and possibly from one of the ateliers in that town which can still be seen and visited when trekking up the main street to the temples.) Gilt lacquered rim. Black lacquer also singularly exposed inside the foot rim. Good condition with light wear. Diameter 15 1/2 inches (39.37 cm)

Burmese red lacquer covered box of tall, cylindrical form. Decoration also in yellow, green and black lacquer. Good condition with minor wear including light loss on the foot rim and some minor checking of the lacquer surface inside the box and cover. Height about 4 inches (10.16 cm). A Birks Saxon sterling silver baby spoon and fork set. This vintage matching sterling silver baby set is in the Saxon pattern by Birks, Canada. This 4-3/8" fork and spoon weigh a total of 36.9 grams, and is in excellent vintage condition with no dents, bends, monograms, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor scrapes/patination to the bowl of the spoon...

A good cloisonne vase depicting Mt. Fuji in clouds using 'musen' (wireless) technique with pleasing affect. The foreground with pagoda in autumnal landscape against mountain and river landscape - the mountains again using wireless technique to suggest fading into the distance, and the river also using 'musen' to suggest the flowing of water. The back of the vase continues the light blue mottled sky. Silver plated rims. Not signed, so we stop short at saying it is Ando school. Excellent condition...

A beautiful early 20th C. Canton enamel with lift off lid, in the form of a peach, apprx. L:10cm x W:9cm, in translucent pale green shading to pink over metal, blue interior, stamped "China" under the enamel on the underside. $165

This textile is from Jaghori in central Afghanistan. It measures 25 x 26 centimeters and is in excellent condition. It is embroidered in cross stitch in silk thread and tightly worked into an overall composition that is very typical of the embroidery from this area. Estimated age: mid 20th century. Condition: Excellent.

This hand painted Japanese ceramic bowl is an early or mid-20th century product. It is 7 1/8” in diameter and 3” high. It depicts white cherry blossoms and red maple leaves on a milk white crackled background inside and outside. There is a small finger pinch close to the rim. The stamped maker’s mark “Takamine” is near the bottom. It is in great condition.

This child's waistcoat is from Indus Kohistan, located in the province of Pakistan formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP), recently re-named Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is a superb piece, embroidered on black cotton fabric and embellished with coins, multicolored glass seed beads and pearly buttons. The vest measures 32 cm by 37 cm with the neck yoke measuring 11 cm. It is estimated to date to the middle to late 20th century...

Antique Burmese lacquerware offering tray or "Kalat" coated with red and black laquer used by families to carry offerings of food to the monastery. This striking, Deco styling midsize pair of French leather Club Chairs have their original patina and coloring. The cinema back beauties offer a deep rich chocolate hue balanced by their original velvet seats. Clean and comfortable, and in very good condition. They measure 30" deep, 30" wide, 31" high, 22" seat depth and 17" seat width

This is a vintage child's front from Paktia province in eastern Afghanistan. It measures 25 x 28 cm and is densely embroidered in silk thread in a tightly worked ladder stitch. The sides, shoulder and waist straps are executed in Bukhara stitching where the metallic threads are carefully laid in parallel and then meticulously fastened down with a cotton thread. This textile is estimated to date to the mid 20th century and is in excellent condition.

Worked in an intriguing combination of long and short stitch and ladder stitch on a fine cotton muslin ground, this Uzbek cushion cover from northern Afghanistan measures 39 x 78 cm and is dated to the mid 20th century. The central field of large rosettes and floral motifs, accented with leaves and smaller rosettes, is executed in silk thread in vivid primary colors in Bukhara couching to evoke the image of a garden in bloom. Condition is excellent.
