Jean Rivier (1915 – 2017) established himself as a ceramist in Vallauris in 1952. Midcentury Modern sterling silver box. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Rectangular with straight sides. Cover flat and hinged with flat molded rim. Interior cedar lined and partitioned Fully marked including maker’s stamp, postwar pattern no. 23367, and director’s letter L (1956-ca 1965). Very good condition.
