Large, iron figural standing mirror, c.1870. Very decorative - cherubs, women fairies, flowers, hearts, & torch and arrows make up this intricately designed mirror - see photos. It measures 15" wide by 16" long and is extremely heavy. Metalwork is in excellent condition but mirror can use some re-silvering, if desired. Would sit on a dresser but has a back loop for hanging. This is a matching pair of decorative prints, 14" by 9 1/2", in thin simple black frames, the prints appearing to be on thin tissue type paper, laid on boards. I am not knowledgeable about Japanese prints, but I would guess these to be of 20th century age. They appear to be in some places unevenly discolored, and browned by age (though not as much as the photos might indicate), but perhaps the paper was brownish to begin with. At the edges there are some losses and stains...
Antique circa 1870 Fleur de Lis pin open work cut chased brooch with curly "C" closure, tube hinge and extended pinstem is marked "800" probably for the earliest of the Italian Peruzzi Florence work. Fleur de lis or Prince Charles Feathers motif.

Case mask painted black with green mark on forehead representing a snipe track and white moon symbols on cheeks, snout with teeth, wildcat skin ruff. Velvet shirt, white trousers. Carries a knife. Chaveyo may come at any time during the spring months if Hopi children are particularly bad. "The boogie man will get you if you don't watch out."

Fire lighting implement consisting of a piece of iron, pieces of fabric and a fragment of flint stone, the whole set being contained in a rattan box. This implement belonged formerly to a member of a tribe located in Palawan Island, South West of the Philipino Archipelago. Such tribe, like a few others in this island, has in some aspects remained in the Stone Age. It was put under the protection of the Philipino Government some 40 years ago.
