A traditional oribe ware handled dish decorated with geometric patterns and the signature green glaze that oribe wares are known for. The green glaze used for oribe is thought be difficult to produce and only the most skilled potters can produce the green color by knowing the temperature and timing when fired. Pair of vintage sterling silver and rosewood "supper" candlesticks designed and signed circa 1950's by American & Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). Spratling referred to this design as "supper" candlesticks in his 1958-59 catalog. Each stick stands 3" high. A rosewood circle midway down on the stem is inset with 6 silver buttons.
