Here is a fantastic glass sphere made by Jaako Niemi for Nuutajarvi Nostjo in 1959. It measures 3 1/2" high and 4" in diameter. Excellent condition; no issues.

The bouquet of flowers for this stunning silk fukusa was made using yuzen resist dying, free-hand embroidery, and gold surihaku, with gold and silver foil couching applied to create the bow. On the reverse side is a large mons (family crest). Three of the four original silk tassels are still intact. As a decorative item, this fukusa would make a fabulous wall hanging or framed artwork. In excellent condition, we estimate this fukusa to be mid Showa. It measures 26” wide x 29” high...

Two old hair ornaments from China, made of a gilt silver alloy, with carved leaf-shaped jade top. One marked "14K". Condition: few traces of usage, gilding worn. Dimension: c. 11.8 cm and 9.6 cm long.

A fine, vintage necklace of natural and graduate Italian red coral beads. Largest central bead diameter 12 mm. smallest 4 mm. Clasp: 14K gold marked with goldsmith EKJ and a large Coral Cabochon: 16 mm long x 9 mm. The coral strand necklace is made of 91 pearls and it is 54 cm long. Weight: 36 grams. From the 40/50’s. Hocking's Charm pattern was produced from 1950 to 1956 as part of their Fire King line of glassware. The square shape set it apart from other dinnerware lines when it was first manufactured, and makes it very popular with today's collectors. This porcelain dish was produced in Denmark by Bing and Grondahl around 1950. The inventory number is 1167. It measures 7 1/2 inches long, 6 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches deep. The porcelain is quite substantial. The dish is molded in high relief with an art nouveau inspired design of stylized leaves and flowers. The color pallet is shades of blue, violet and brown. Bowl or dish in Sommerso technique, clear glass and grass green, designed by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta glass works, Sweden. VL was appointed chief designer at Kosta in 1950, and the bowl was produced in the mid 50’s. Incised mark Kosta LH 1308/75 (model number), where L is for Lindstrand and H means artisanal, made by hand. Height "2 / 5 and width "3 ¾ / 9.5 cm. Condition: fine.

Four small bowls or dishes, coasters or ashtrays by Jean Rivier in French Vallauris, all slightly different, variations of a decorative theme between modernism and primitive art very much en vogue in the 1950’s. Jean Rivier (1915 – 2017) established himself as a ceramist in Vallauris in 1952. In the years to come he participated in exhibitions in Paris and abroad together with Picasso and other members of the Vallauris ceramist group...

Probably used once and then packed away for another generation, this vintage silk traditional sari from Varanasi is a vibrant as the day it was loomed. A small leaf pattern of gold metallic thread dots the entire length of the deep green silk field. There is a 2 inch brocaded border on each side which also runs the length of the sari. The end panel is ornately patterned brocaded silk and makes extensive use of gold metallic threads...

Midcentury Modern sterling silver tray. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Rectangular with curved corners, flat narrow shoulder and stepped rim; scroll bracket end handles. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 22846, and director’s letter M (1947-56). Very good condition.
