Very unusual hand blown and hand painted satin glass vase or rose bowl. This rose bowl is made from cased glass with pale green on the outside and royal blue on the inside. Possibly an early Fenton piece, it is in very good antique condition showing some wear to the gold gilt edging. Feels fantastically smooth the touch and a must have for the collector. Measures 4.5 inches high. Dates circa 1920-30.

Upper: Ink on gold leaf paper. The calligraphy writing by Jiang Zuo-bin (1884-1942), a political and military figure, and a diplomat during the Republic Period. Lower: Ink and color on gilded paper. The painting was attributed to Tang Xue-shi, signed in 庚午年 (1930). Excellent condition. Re-mounted by the previous owner.

Vase by Danish manufacturer Hjorth, c 1920-30. Grey stoneware, decoration of Art Déco scroll work in “flow” copper red under beautifully crackled glaze. Probably by Hans Hjorth. The Hjorth Terracotta Factory, now part of the Bornholm museum, is still working in the same premises where it was founded in the 19th century, still using the same equipment. A large 20th century tribal intricately carved wooden model of Soul Boat from a Pacific islands. The interior is mounted with three detachable figures of seated warrior ancestors with their heads raised toward the heavens.

Two large mythical guardians of the spirit world hold a boat transporting the souls of the dead to the afterlife. Each side of the boat is carved with two lizards. The boat is bolted to a wooden plinth...

Japanese late 19th- early 20th c bronze cast ikebana bowl resting on tripod feet.The bowl exterior cast with finely detailed chrysanthemum flowers and leafs floating on a wave of water , the bowl is in nice and well used condition . Size D 7.5" H 2.5"

This footed bowl is from Gunnar Nylund's early years with Bing and Gröndahl. It was created between 1926 and 1928. It measures 4¼" (11cm) high and is 4½" (11.5cm) in diameter. The bowl is on four feet. The glaze is extraordinary and designed to resemble flames surrounding a cauldron. Mint condition. SHIPPING INCLUDED WITHIN US.

A circa 1920's wood cut out picture, "Jack and Jill", 14" by 22" including frame, said to be "...a kit that had to be put together and then painted 'sometime in the 1920's", according to a small paper strip on backing. The work would add some accent to a child's room or nursery. I think it complete as it stands but cannot explain the central portion which seems to depict houses or rooftops...

Semi-eggshell thin cup and saucer by Imura, Japan, c 1920. Decoration in black, gilt and orange-red of fans in the Kutani style. Signed Nihon (Japan) Yokohama Imura Tsukuru. Height of cup "2¼/ 6 cm, and diameter of saucer "4¾/ 12 cm. Condition: a glaze bubble under the enameled decoration. Saucer with a small nick to the rim (cf. photo).

Yuzen hinagata (sample book of yuzen-zome) of kosode (kimono with narrow opening of wrists) which is a reprinted edition of Edo kosode hinagata. It has 20 pages and 40 Yuzen-zome kosode designs. Chinese-style bowl, ca 1920. Mottled green hardstone urn on silver gilt fretwork base with 4 splayed supports. A pretty ornament that works as an ashtray with silver gilt leaf cradle mounted to rim. Marked “Edward I Farmer / Sterling”. Very good with nice toning. Rim has a few fleabite irregularities.
