Rare Artist's Proof by Japanese Woodblock Print Artist, Gen Yamaguchi (1896 - 1976): Poetry of Early Autumn (1948). Illustrated in Yamaguchi, pl. 61. This is the artist's proof of this image, created for the artist's approval before the set of fifty prints were created. Yamaguchi achieved an international reputation when he was awarded first prize at the International Print Biennale in Ljubljana, Yugoslavia, 1957, and a grand prix at Lugano, Switzerland in 1958...
Stunning cut glass compote from the brilliant period. I can't find a signature, but I'm sure its identifiable to an expert on patterns. It measures 8" tall x 6" diameter at the bottom, and has a tear drop stem. There is one TINY flake at the top, but other than that it looks to be in perfect condition.

Arts & crafts sterling napkin ring with applied silver lettered monogram by Kalo, c.1920. This hand hammered piece has "GRB" applied sterling letters and is signed "KALO STERLING". It measures a generous 3 1/2" long by 11/16" wide and is of good weight. Excellent condition.....$8 for insured USA shipping plus applicable NY tax.

Large sized ghurra with two protectors ( H 10 cm) sitting back to back , note the nice small face precisely carved in the middle of rope knot on the front face of the ghurra. H 38;5 cm , wide 7 cm, thick 4 cm.

Thailand fine 19th Century Rattanakosin Buddha seated in deep meditation (Virasana) on a stepped throne lost wax cast bronze gold leaf . Size H 5.5" w 3" nice condition
This Georg Jensen sterling silver and onyx ring—no.97—was created decades ago (probably in the 1950s) by the jewelry designers Nanna and Jorgen Ditzel. Their NJ mark is inside the ring as well as the Georg Jensen mark, 925-S, Denmark, and the number 97. The ring sits about a centimeter or roughly a quarter of an inch above the finger. The onyx stone is carved in the cabochon manner, on the top and bottom of the stone. A large stone, it measures about 25mm x 18mm...
Clog-shaped chawan, tea bowl to be used in the tea ceremony. Over a whitish fine clay a silky black glaze and crackled white slip over which a decoration of interlocked diamonds and rings in iron brown.
Seal impressed in bottom/underside: Juzan. Refers to the Oribe potter Mizuno Juzan.

This mid-20th century octagonal shaped blue and white ceramic bowl is 4” high and 6 1/2” in diameter. It is decorated with floral and Daoist related designs both inside and outside. There is “Great Ming Dynasty, Hong Wu Period, month of July” honorable date on the bottom. It is in great condition.

An antique Chinese arm chair made of hardwood. The back rest is a carved relief of a tree with a bird and blossoms. A carved bat is hovering over the tree. The arms of the chair are rounded.

This lovely embroidery from Afghanistan measures 27 x 36 cm and depicts eight pointed stars in very fine cross stitch on a purple linen background, arranged in four quadrants. Circa mid to late 20th century. Condition: Excellent.
