I acquired this basket in England about fifteen years ago. It measures 18 3/4" across and is about 2 3/4" high. It is dusty and there is a little rim damage (see photos). I found it along with a basket (also listed in my shop) that I believe is of South American origin...
This is a GREEN JADE 2 FISH CARVING amongst Lotus. Size is 6" x 8" x 1 3/4" approx. Fish depicted Frolicking in the water. Great Carving ca. late 1900's
Fine Japanese Kutani Urn Lamp with Peacocks and Foo dog handles. Well painted with 2 scenes one with peacocks and foliage the other a group of people with houses. Mounted as a lamp late 19th century urn. nicely mounted and working comes with the harp but no finial. The urn from the top of the wood base to the top of urn is 9" w 5.5" to the top of the harp 18.5"

This really pretty Dresden Duchess 8 1/8 Inch Pie Server was made by Harker China. This Pie Server is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. The decoration and gold trim is all very good. There is some crazing in the glaze indicative to the old china. It does not take away from the beauty of this piece. German Rudolstadt porcelain Potpourri Jar with inner top with holes under the top cover, 7 1/4" high, 5 1/2" wide, made by "New York & Rudolstadt Pottery" before 1920 with large pink and baby blue transfer floral design highlighted in brilliant gold on semi dull finish glaze, gold finish is worn on the round knob, and swirling wave pattern on the body. Glaze hairline across the top cover but did not go down all the way.
Marine material netsuke of an owl sitting on a tree stump with new branches and leaves. Excellent quality detailed carving, wonderful face with somewhat puzzled expression, beautiful depiction of differentiated feathers, pleasant patina, eyes are inlaid with black horn. Signed MASAMITSU on the bottom, wonderful netsuke by a master carver. Height 1 5/8 inches.
Being offered is a spectacular circa 1960 sterling silver serving fork by a skilled Navajo silversmith (unmarked). Handcrafted fork decorated with stamped oxidized motifs on the handle & a turquoise inset stone. Dimensions 9 3/4" long. Marked as illustrated. In excellent condition.
Beautifully handpainted Victorian French charger decorated with birds, flowers, insects and fish. The coloring as well as the quality of the painting is wonderful. In lovely original condition, it measures 17 1/2" in diameter. Impressed on the back Montereau B & Cie with the number 45.
1920s small celluloid netsuke of theatrical mask of Okina (old man) used in Sambaso dance. Very nice example of its type. Height 1 1/8 inches.

Kosta "Dark Magic" vase designed and hand-formed by Vicke Lindstrand. Vase stands 4 3/4 inches (12 cm) tall. Very organic form in gray cased glass. Color of vase varies with the angle and intensity of light. Vase does have a 1/2 inch (1.2 cm) scratch on the surface, shown in photos. No other damage. Signed Kosta LH 1605/V. Lindstrand. Circa 1958/59.
This is a real jade (hard stone) carving of Cicadas pendant, it is a symbol of purity in chinese culture over thousands of years, it is very nice and simple works of art. In good condition except some small chips caused by wear and age, it is from circa 1920s and can be much earlier than that, please ask for detail photos.

This is a wonderful vintage Japanese Raku style tea cup of Ohi ware with an amazing amber glaze which was made about 50-60 years ago by Rakusai Ohi. The seal of 'Ohi' is stamped on the bottom.
The original wooden box with the signature and the seal of the artist is also included.
Ohi ware has become well known for its use of Ame-gusuri, or amber glaze. Being a Raku style, it was low-fired and is quite light and soft in the hands...
Bashofu kimono hand-woven of ito-basho, which is a family of banana tree. Both wefts and warps are hand-plied. The brown warp kasuri yarns are dyed with extract liquid from tree or root of "sharinbai", which is a family of rose, and the very dark blue weft kasuri yarns are dyed with Ryuku-ai, vegetable indigo in Okinawa. Bashofu has been woven in many Islands in Okinawa for everyday kimono or work wear. 20th century. It has some stains and holes. W:106cm, L:116cm
Republic period, circa 1950, carved jade miniature of a sage pinching it's ear lobe. The jade stone is shaped like a pebble. There are two medallions on the top of the shoulders of the stone. It measures 1.5" by 1.5" by .6".

This is an early Ming Kuo or early Chinese Republic (1912-1950) very fine blue and white vase. The paintings show that of blessing and abundance, such as chrysthenthnum, peony lotus, prunus flowers. In addition there are drawing of ruyi head, ying and yang sign, peaches etc... On the base of the vase, it bears the mark of the private kiln or manufacturer.
The vase is in very good condition. No hairline crack, no chip or crack, no glaze fritting or repair and restoration...
