This porcelain dish was produced in Germany by Meissen before 1970. It has a diameter of 8 1/2 inches and it is 1 3/4 inches high. The porcelain is of the most excellent quality. The dish is formed with a ribbed interior fanning out into a scalloped edge. The decoration is taken from the Chinese. There are fighting roosters in the center, red dragons and Chinese ornaments. Neolithic Hongshan Nephrite Jade cicada pendant .The figure of a cicada insect the jade is well worn with deposits. The Suspension holes are biconically off set drilled with mineral deposits within. The Manhattan pattern was produced by Hocking Glass Company from 1939 to 1941. Its clean, deco lines makes it very popular with today's collectors. Although this isn't listed with Manhattan in the catalogs, Hocking produced this cookie jar as a 'go with' item for the pattern. It was made during the same time period and sold along with Manhattan. A pair of Japanese Hina dolls decorated with traditional Japanese gold or kinran and non-gold or donsu brocades. A rare antique Chinese apple green Peking Glass snuff bottle with stopper. The bottle has rounded shoulders and a thin carved oval shaped foot. The jade lid with a coiled dragon and bone spoon. Chinese glass was largely used to imitate more precious materials such as white jade, Lapis Lazuli and other valuable minerals.

Stylish and jokey sterling silver cabbage head sauce bowl and ladle. Made by Buccellati in Italy. Domed cover set in bowl, both comprising overlapping leaves with realistic veins and irregularities. Ladle has branch handle and leaf bowl. Clear glass liner. Ladle marked “Buccellati Italy Sterling”. Bowl has post-1967 mark (26 MI) with “Buccellati / Italy / Sterling” and “925 [in oval]”. It figures the sun and many protective symbols, like a peony in the center ; all hand made.

A truly extraordinary print of the streets of Tokyo by Japanese Shin-Hanga artist Tsuchiya Koitsu circa August of 1939. Two women, both wearing beautiful blue kimonos, walk in the rain holding parasols. The streets are colored a purple/mauve as the rainwater reflects the light of lanterns from inside of a nearby shop, trees rise above buildings, and despite the depicted weather conditions, this is a very colorful scene. Very unusual and elegant Japanese Kuronbo (of African decent) wooden kokeshi doll. Especially hard to find with a child.
