Pair of Han Dynasty Winged Doist Imortals in Bronze. The near matching figures one with its core and the other with less patina has remains of a black lacquer surface. Beautiful detail . There are similar figures like these in Chinese museums. Google search for "Doist winged figures playing" and you can see similar pieces . A lovely English cut crystal powder or dresser box. The cut glass jar features 3 large flowers with alternating leaves. A deep cut star is on the base bottom. The sterling silver lid is beautifully decorated with a chased Art Nouveau design around the outer edge. The center of the lid is plain and can be engraved. Lid is marked silver and tests sterling silver. The box is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Measures about 3" high x 3.75 at widest. Circa 1920.
