Vintage Japanese Komai metal obidome (sash ornament) with gold and silver decoration of bamboo stem and leaves. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, it is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions, and could serve as netsuke as well. Nice design, great quality crisp metalwork, two fittings for a cord on the back, in excellent condition. Stamped SUMIJI on the back. Diameter 1.4 inches.
This pretty cobalt blue Aurora depression glass Tumbler was made by Hazel Atlas from 1937 to 1938. This Tumbler measures 4 3/4 Inches high X 2 3/4 Inches in diameter across the top. A great hammered silver vase with small knobs around the shoulders, soft hammer marks covering the surface of the vase.
Signed on the bottom with a chiseled signature by the artist, Shiro, together with Mitsukoshi stamp, Silver and Sterling.
Enclosed in the original tomobako, the original box, inscribed Silver vase on the exterior of the lid and signed and sealed on the inside.
