Pair of Chinese antique erotic mirrored imaged plates done in famille rose showing a man and a woman involved in creative pleasures. The plates are gilt rim and the underside of each plate are glazed in pink. On the base of each, there is a 6 character Tongzhi (1862-1874) mark in iron red. These plates come boxed.

Size: 7-1/2" Diameter by 1-15" high

Age: Late Qing to Early Republic

Condition: Very good condition, no breaks and/or noticeable cracks...

Chinese dingyao bowl of shallow conical form with lobed rim. The widely flaring sides divided into six lobes, with indentations along the rim corresponding to thin raised lines radiating from the circular inner well.

Age: Song Dynasty (960 - 1279)

Condition: Very good overall condition. Some kiln grit and a firing flaw on one of the lobes.

This striking chawan is a fine example of “Oni Shino” (carbon trap and natural ash glazing) that Tsukigata is so well-known for.
