DESCRIPTION: A small Navajo rug made of handspun wool in an "Eye Dazzler" pattern of three vibrant, serrated diamonds on a bright red ground, enclosed with a double border of white and black. The Eye Dazzler, so named by early traders because of the intense coloring of the dyes, is a serrated design that was woven in multiple colors of bright aniline dyed yarns in the 1880 - 1890 period...

Circa 1920sEichwald majolica centerpiece with a lion head on the base. Large and colorful, this blue bowl with a golden yellow interior is relief decorated on the exterior with small raspberry red flowers, light green tendrils, and paisley shaped pink medallions. Other colors are lavender, and golden brown. A fabulous statement piece. Marked" Eichwald" and "Czechoslovakia", it measures 15" high, 12ʺ long × 8.25ʺ wide.

Unusually large ca.1935 iron tea pot made for the hearth 'irori' in old japanese minka farmhouses. Stamped with the famed Nambu Iron Foundry in Tohoku Northern Japan, the inscription reads, 'Tetsubin Nambu Seido' iron teapot made at the Nambu Foundry. The white steer skull is hand painted with Native American designs and incorporates ornamental attachments including copper plates over the eye sockets, an attached copper ring at the top of the skull, and hanging ornaments of leather strips, copper tubing and feathers. Large Chinese yellow Peking glass vase. Dramatic baluster form with tall neck and rounded foot. The rim displays how many layers of glass it took to create this vase. The color is a vivid golden/yellow color previously reserved for imperial use.

Set of 12 sterling large teaspoons in Douvaine pattern by Unger Brothers, Newark, c.1903. Beautiful figural pattern showing north wind and dolphin head amidst classic art nouveau flowing design with very clear definition on each. Spoons measures 5 13/16" long and the bowl is 2 1/16" long by 1 1/4" wide. Each spoon is marked "UB STERLING 925 FINE". There is a fairly light monogram "L"(?) on each spoon that could probably be removed...

A very rare 5 panel bride’s noren. The bottom of the curtain has a lovely delicate aqua wash. Traditionally the bride would hang this curtain in the doorway for about 2 weeks after she was married to announce that she was a member of the new family and that she has taken her husband’s family crest. There are a few minor age spots in the cream/off white area, but otherwise the curtain is in excellent condition...
