Round Chinese wooden red lacquer storage box with auspicious symbols in gold. In excellent condition commensurate with age, measures 7.5" diameter x 3" high. Dates first half 20th century.

Small bottle-shape vase by Dean Mullavey (Canadian, born in New Hampshire, USA, in 1927), in excellent condition. This small stoneware bottle measures 4 1/4" in height. Incised signature and chop. It was created around 1960-1961 while the artist was a member of the Clay Art Center in Port Chester, NY (all information courtesy of the artist). From a North Carolina estate. One of four early works by this artist currently available.

A signed Steuben jar with threaded lid on an optic swirled rib footed body. The bristol yellow jar is 7 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches in diameter at the shoulder. There are two minor chips on the threading of the lid. The base has a polished pontil and there is an acid stamped Steuben fleur de lys mark. The bottle is shown in the factory line drawings and the Carder Steuben Club shape gallery as shape 6733.

This pair of glass candlesticks was produced in Europe. They are unmarked but we think that they are Bohemian, made in the 1920's. They are 8 3/4 inches high and the base has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches. The glass has a lead content and makes a ringing sound when tapped. They are hand blown and joined in four parts. Chirimen (crepe) silk kimono imprinted with Okinawa bingata design of irregular bands of flowers and plants of the seasons, in roundels, on waves, on vines etc. The outlines and basic forms are in brown, ochre and brown-red, while the flowers and leaves are colored in the red, yellow, green, and purple.
