Japanese glass obidome (sash ornament) with flowers floating on a stream with air bubbles and silver foil flakes. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, it is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions, and could serve as netsuke as well. Nice design, wonderful quality glasswork, very pleasant to hold. Length 0.88 inches.

A boldly geometrical flapper necklace from the 1920’s, made up of large circular shiny black celluloid elements, a design likely to rattle in rhythm with any Charleston band. A silk fukuro obi sash. On a background of woven gold-thread and cream-colored silk is a repeating diamond-shaped pattern of stylized flowers and feathers in gold-thread brocade and brightly colored silk (orange, yellow, green, blue, red and white).

Lapis lazuli vase in the Ingrid line, by Schlevogt in Gablonz, Czechia, c 1935. Schlevogt’s Ingrid line with its sculptural Art Déco pieces in green “malachite” or blue “lapis” glass was named after his 4-year old daughter. Height "3/ 7.8 cm, diameter "2 ¼ / 6 cm. Condition: fine.

Meisen haori (jacket) with dots pattern, which are double kasuri. Both warp and weft kasuri yarns are stencil-resist-dye. It has hand-braided cords in front. Mid 20th century. Generally, in good condition except for a few stains in the white silk lining. W:123cm, L:90cm

This porcelain trinket box was produced in Germany by Meissen in the mid-20th century. It is 2 1/2 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inches high. It is made of superb quality hard paste porcelain. It is decorated with expertly hand painted flowers. They are realistic and very colorful. The rims are trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent, first quality.

Studio vase by Mobach in Utrecht, 1950's or 60's. Of sturdy shape, the mouth-rim elegantly thin, the thick and irregularly running glaze in subtle shades of grey, pink and beige. Impressed mark "Mobach, Utrecht". Height "4½/ 11,5 cm. Condition: fine.

This is a piece of noh drama costume which is called "Choken". Choken is made of silk gauze or weft silk gauze with woven designs with gold and colored threads. It is worn by a dancer or noble man in the noh stage. This choken has woven design of Hagi ( Japanese clover ) and Nadeshiko ( Dianthus ) with gold threads. Minsa obi (sashi) made in Taketomi Island in Okinawa. The features of Taketomi Minsa obi are: both wefts and warps are machine-spun cotton and handwoven. It has four and five block warp kasuri pattern and both selvedges have uneven horizontal stripes which symbolize mukade (centipede). A creamware dinner plate with shaped edge, elaborate painted lattice border on the rim and good “Chinese scene” decoration to the body of the plate. Though it is unmarked it is almost certainly English from the late18th century. The color is deep cobalt blue and the execution very good. 10 inch (25.5 cm) diameter.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Looks almost new with very little wear.
