This is a really nice crystal clear Colonial, aka Knife and Fork, 7 inch Ice Lip Pitcher made by Hocking Glass from 1934 to 1938. This Pitcher is listed in the book as a 54 ounce Water Pitcher. It actually holds 58 ounces almost running over, so the 54 ounces is more realistic. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. Bead Chain fixtures were the standard ceiling fixture of the American home from the 1920’s through the 1940’s. The decorative glass shade hung from 3 bead chains, and could be adjusted up or down depending on the size of the room and height of the ceiling. The graceful Art Deco design of these fixtures makes them the perfect fit in today's homes.
