Japanese Meiji Gold stone Cloisonné Ginger jar Humidor with tight fitting lid. Beautiful work in good condition there 3 rough spots on a butterfly wing and by flowers above and there is a close up of the spot, I found it by feel since its not very visible. This is a striking Japanese uchikake, wedding gown. The design on this gown is the sacred pine tree, “Yogo no Matsu”, and golden clouds. Pines in gold or gold clouds are often painted on silk screens or used as the background for a noh play stage. The wall paintings in the Kyoto Nijo castle, Kyoto, which were painted by Kano, Tanyu (1602-74) when he was in his mid 20s, are quite famous.

Hand painted vase made by the Alexandra Porcelain Works, Ernest Wahliss in Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia, c. 1911-1912. This vase depicts a maiden walking with her ducks in a country setting on one side while the other side continues with the country scene. It is hand signed by the artist "....... der Classen" at the bottom of the main scene...

This really nice Wildfire tea or coffee cup and saucer were made by Hall China in the 1940s to 1950s. Both the cup and saucer are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. This porcelain group was produced in Denmark by Bing & Grondahl between 1948 and 1951. The model number is 1581. It measures 4 1/2 inches high and is 4 inches wide. The four monkeys are modeled with charming character. They are huddled together for warmth and support. The group is hand painted in earthy tones. Condition: Excellent, first quality.
