Painted lacquerware in Asia is thought to have more than 3,000 years of history; originating in China and then later spreading to South East Asia, Korea, and Japan. Chinese Tang Style Black Jade? recumbent foo dog Lion scholar object possibly a scroll weight. Well carved foo lion in a black stone with very heavy wear on the base showing what seems to be hundreds of years' worth of wear as well as the mid-section of the body. Export seal on head. this came from the estate of a noted archologist. Size l 3.25" w 2" h 1.6"

Fine ancient Hongshan red orange Agate Dog toggle pendant sculpture. The best we have had it is a wonderful figure sitting upright with his head tilted back the stone is quite translucent and very well carved, no damage little deposits due to type of stone. Collected in HK 1980s. Weight 60g size 6cm by 5 cm

19-20thc Uganda triple spout pot Ganda magic drinking Ndawula Walumbe Bamweyana Nakaima Muwanga. This rare pot was for ceremonial use and said to be for medicated beer. Probably early 20th c beautiful blackish burnished finish and cord impressed banding around the 3 spouts. Some slight scuffs to spout lip as well as lighter colored grey around rims though does not seem to be damage. No cracks quite heavy for the size comes with no stand. Weight 3.8 h 8" w 7"

An unusual small cylindrical Wakasa lacquer box. Dating Late Taisho, Early Showa Period, it measures 3.5" diameter, 1.25" high. Has some micro abrasions from surface wear on the bottom.

A large Chinese 20th-century celadon glazed porcelain vase with a baluster body, rising to a trumpet neck, flanked by a dragon handles with rings.

The body is richly adorned with an incised in a low relief lotus pattern.

Old Chinese silk embroidered scroll of a rooster and a hen amongst flowers. The satin stitch and numerous colored silk threads were used to blend and create this work of art. In excellent condition, it measures as a scroll: 7 feet long X 26 inches.

Unique Japanese okimono of the head of 'Tengu' (Long-nosed goblin), originally an wooden mold used for making a paper-mache tengu head (because of such back cutting scar for removing paper-mache head out), then vermilion-painted after retired to lead a second life, Taisho-Showa period, early-mid 20th century, approx. 18 x 18 x Depth 19cm (7.08 x 7.08 x 7.48in). Aged deterioration, uneven paint appearance, crack, exfoliation, etc...
