Bashofu has been woven in many Islands in Okinawa from old days, for everyday kimono or work wear. The first half of the 20th century. In good condition except for a few brownish stains. Tall boxwood netsuke of 8 quails feeding on millet. Perfectly captured mood of the scene, extraordinary carving to the last detail, eyes are double inlaid with horn and mother of pearl, beautiful finish, in superb condition. Signed AKIHIDE on the bottom - this brilliant contemporary artist (born 1934) belonged to the So School lineage. Height 4.1 inches (104 mm).

A large, scalloped sterling bowl with rope twist rim marked Shreve Crump and Lowe Sterling 865S. There are light scratches on the bottom and some polish marks. It measures 3" (h) x 9.75"(w) and weighs 14ozs./397 gr.

A nice impressive size at 20.25” long, this all silver Thai tray features a wide raised edge with hand chased scrollwork and mythical birds. The scalloped rim has a beaded edge and this tray also has four small ball feet on the bottom. It is 85% silver and weighs 680 grams. This is a really pretty pair of ruby red Coin 8 Inch high single Candle Sticks made by Fostoria Glass. Both candle sticks are in very good condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or cloudiness, however the one candle stick has a black 1/8 inch smudge in the glass at the top of the candle holder. A fantastic maki-e vase by greatest Heian Zohiko Nishimura Hikobei VIII in great condition. It was made around 1950. An alloyed copper inner tray is also included.
