This is a vintage textile from Paktya province. It measures 28 x 29.5 cm and is estimated to date between early to mid 20th century. Silk thread is embroidered in extremely fine brick stitch and satin stitch on a tan linen background, depicting interlocking chevron and bricked lozenge motifs. Condition: Excellent.

Chinese polychrome enamel decorated porcelain ovoid vase, the globular body featuring Chinese figures and flowering plants and pine trees, pair of stylized dragon handles below the dished rim, marked Chinese characters on the bottom, Republic Period. Korean porcelain celadon vase with black lacquer and MOP overlay. The condition of the porcelain is perfect, but the lacquer is not, some small pieces of mother of pearl are missing and some touch up paint around a section of the shoulder is evident. Still a very desirable vase that will display well. Measurements are 7 inches tall by 3 1/4 inches at the widest.

A Grand Lenox Belleek Vase, Artist Signed by Frances Mayer and dated June 8 1927. It has a Gilt Border with Pheasants Front and Reverse. Dimensions 15.5" high x 5.5" in diameter. Excellent condition

This very well carved lapis lazuli water bowl is 2 ¾” high, 6” long and 3 ½” wide. It depicts a young boy and a small dragon tortoise riding on the back of a large dragon tortoise. A tiny tortoise sits inside the water bowl which is formed from the back of the large dragon tortoise. The piece is accompanied by a black silk brocade box. This is a 1950’s~1960’s product and is in excellent condition. According to Chinese legend, this tortoise is the oldest of nine dragon children...

This is an Uzbek embroidered cloth from northern Afghanistan. The motifs and colors are typical of the embroideries of Tajikistan and southern Uzbekistan (Sukhandarya). Cross stitch and satin stitch in pink, green, yellow and blue yellow silk thread. This textile was probably made for a dowry. It measures 29.5 x 30 cm. Condition: Excellent, no fraying, no stains, no odors. Estimated age: mid or late 20th century.
