Ancient Thai Mon Period Lacquered and gilded Stucco Buddhist Head. The over life-size head is believed to be that of a temple guardian figure. The sculpture was split from ear to ear when we acquired it and had it restored to museum quality the gold is original only the left lower cheek was redone . Offered is a scarce pharmacy tool of the trade labeled No. 10 TABLET MOULD that was offered by the Whitall Tatum Company. These hard rubber molds were used in most drugstores from the mid 1880s to the early 20th century. This particular size mould made 50 one grain triturate tablets.

This handsome, hand-sized device enabled pharmacists to enhance their productivity. Measures 6 inches long.

Fortunately, the directions and original box still exist...

Han Dynasty - Warring States style cast Bronze Miniature Hu Vase, possibly period . Extensive mineral growth and areas of pitting a cast line can be seen on the base. Size H 5" by almost 3" square.

This porcelain dish was produced in Bavaria, Germany by Tirschenreuth in the 1960s. It measures 7 5/8 inches long, 5 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches deep. It is artist signed “Andrews.” The porcelain dish is formed in the shape of a leaf and has a handle on one end. The inside of the dish is hand painted with vividly colored flowers and raspberries. There is heavy gilding around the rim and on the handle. It is a beautiful accent piece for those who appreciate fine hand painted porcel...

This Victorian grapes napkin ring is topped with a leaf draped over one side of a wine barrel which is elevated on a short pedestal. The base in the shape of a grape leaf is elevated by a low, recessed ring. It is hallmarked Standard Silver Col., Ltd, Number 733.

Japanese scroll painted with ink and colors on silk depicting a spotted stag by a stream among reeds under a moon about to be obscured by clouds. Great composition with alert beast looking into the background hidden in beautifully depicted mist. Wonderful quality realistic painting, superb brushwork - see the detailing of hairs on its coat. Paper and silk mounts, wooden scroll ends. Signed GANEN and marked with red paste seal. Scroll size 68x19 inches, painting size 40x16 inches.

Small Indian Jain bronze depicting the seated figure of Vishnu with Lakshmi seated on his left knee. Lakshmi, the inseparable energy of Vishnu, sits with her right arm around Vishnu's waist. Below him on the rectangular platform is the tiny figure of his vehicle Garuda, identifiable by his tiny but unmistakable wings. Two other smaller figures hold up each of Vishnu's knees.
