Kokeshi, folk toy of NE Japan. Wood, Height 9.625". Zao-kei (Zao Onsen [hot spirng]), Yamagata Prefecture. Made by Oumiya Yasumitsu, who was born in Showa 11 (1936) and passed away on July 19, 1995. Probably made in the mid-late 1970's.
Beautiful jade pendant of Quanyin carved of mottled bright green and light green jade, mounted in 18 karat gold with lotus base inset with four diamond and gold halo inset with 10 diamonds, 18K mark, gorgeous details.

This well carved 1970’s jade (jadeite) pendant is half of an inch thick and 2 inches in diameter. It depicts two Qi Lin (or Qi Ren) facing each other on the top, and two stylized characters of “Shou” (Longevity) are carved on the bottom. It is in great condition.
This old cherry amber bead necklace is 29 inches long. The beads are 17 mm long and 12 mm wide. The large bead on the end is 23 mm long and 18 mm wide. The stupa shape bead is about 48 mm long and 18 mm wide. It is in great condition.
Chinese jadeite ring, made from natural and untreated jade, with beautiful deep forest green, apple green, and white hues in a cylindrical form, set in 18k gold with .750 mark etched into the band, and one row of six diamonds above and below the jadeite piece.

This charmer has its original label is 5 1/4" high and 4 3/8" across the opal like rim. It is in excellent, unused condition. The elegant vintage bracelet, approximately 2¼ inches (57.15 mm) in inner diameter and 83 grams in weight, is artistically designed and skillfully carved. Its strong translucent jadeite material shows very beautiful apple green-white hues. Very rare and in an excellent condition.

A very finely painted porcelain plaque - "Wu Song Da Hu" painted in the style of Liu Ji You - illustrating one of the stories from "The Water Margin" depicting the famous scene where the folk hero Wu Song kills the tiger which has been terrorizing the local population. The painting carries a cyclical dating for Spring 1979. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration...

This is a contemporary, excellently carved polychrome netsuke depicting a standing Goddess Benzaiten, also know as Benten, the only female member of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune, who is known as the Water Goddess, and Patroness of Music, Poetry and Learning. She is holding a Chrysanthemum flower on her right hand. Intricate detail and vivid colors characterize this wonderful miniature sculpture carved by Akihiro Zusuki, a netsuke artist currently living in Hokkaido, Japan...
This 20th century ivory netsuke is 2 inches long. It depicts a gecko climbing on a gourd. It is signed, but not readable. It is in good condition.
This contemporary ivory carving is 1 ¾ inches tall and 1 ½ inches wide. It depicts a seated German Shepherd. The carving is interesting. It seems the carver was quite familiar with dogs. It is in very good condition.

A pair of Japanese wooden carvings of the Nio, or wrathful guardians to the Buddha. While Buddhism beliefs are typically pacifist, the Nio justified physical force in order to defend against evil and are usually found on either side of a temple door. The Nio called Misshaku Kongo or Agyo keeps his mouth open to represent the first sound in the Sanskrit language "a", symbolizing birth and overt violence...

Tibetan snuff bottle of flat shape made of silver with a lavish embossed decor representing Tibetan Tantric Budhism deities, fistly Acala, one of the eight Dharmapalas holding a sword in his right hand on one side, and secondly one of the Dakinis on the other side. Excellent addition to any glass collection! Designed by Tom Connally, this decanter stands 12 1/4 inches tall with it's mushroom cap stopper. (10 3/4 inches without) and is 2 3/4 inches in diameter. The color is a crisp, clear blue. The decanter has a heavy base so its not easily tipped. These pieces were hand blown so there are variations in the glass and structure. Rare, Made only from 1969 to 1972. Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks.
This 1970¡¯s Chinese carved polychrome bone statue is 6 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide. It depicts a cricket sitting on a Chinese cabbage (Napa). There is a red plant wrap around the bottom of the cabbage. The technique of carving and dying is superb. It is in great condition.
