Yuki-boshi (snow hat) or yuki-kabuto (snow helmet) made of palm tree fiber and vegetable indigo dye cotton inside. It has washi painted with Paulownia oil for waterproof, between outside and cotton indigo lining. It is from Shonai region in Yamagata prefecture in Tohoku district. It is said it was worn by "matagi", a hunter. The second half of the 19th century. In good condition with belts inside are left, which is rather rare. 40cm x 57cm

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1930s. It has the blue crossed sword mark under glaze which is first quality. The sauce has a diameter of 5 7/8 inches. The cup is 2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 7/8 inches. The porcelain is the highest quality made for centuries in the western hemisphere. Sure to break the ice using this vintage set of 12 Bird themed cocktail napkins, made of fine lawn linen with hand rolled hem, comprising six unique designs, one in red and and the other blue. Size- Each 5" by 7". Very good vintage condition: 10 are perfect, Some fading on the 11th and sliver tear near hem on 12th.
