Dino Martens - [1894 - 1970] An Italian artist and designer know for his work in glass. Studied at the Academia di Belle Arti. He eventually became the innovative artistic director at Aureliano Toso.

Midcentury Modern jar. Made by E. Dragsted in Denmark. Thick and ovoid clear glass bowl with sterling silver grape bunches loose-mounted to ends. Flat sterling silver cover with grape bunch finial. Beautiful Jensen-inspired design. Cover fully marked and numbered 1810. Fine condition.

This pretty amber Radiance 2 3/4 Inch Cordial was made by New Martinsville Glass. This Cordial has a platinum band at the top. The Cordial is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Being offered is a rare circa 1955 sterling silver bowl by William Spratling, of Taxco, Mexico. Masterfully Handwrought scalloped bowl with allover spot hammering. Dimensions: 4 1/2 inches by 4 inches by 2 inches tall. Marked as illustrated in photo. In excellent condition. Weight almost 6 oz. Whether for condiments, paper clips as a desk object etc etc — with imagination, a multitude of uses.

Rich impact art deco plate from the pottery master Kanou Mitsuo. He was born and lived in Kyoto c.1903-1970. He was known for his tortoiseshell glazes. In 1949 he won first prize at the Nitten, Japan's prestigious Fine Arts Exhibition. Later he was asked to be the top judge in the event. The plate comes in the original signed kiri wood box and on the lid it reads, 'Bekkou Yu' tortoiseshell glaze, and 'Hirabachi' flat plate...

Vintage Japanese cylindrical form stoneware lidded mizusashi (water vessel for the tea ceremony) with horizontal ribs covered in a light creamy tan colored glaze with dripped patterning that stops short of the flat foot and recessed base. The interior and underside of the lid are coated in a glossy brown glaze. 20th century. Stands about 6 5/8" high. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. This piece is from a Tucson, AZ estate.

Incense box of irregular circular shape. Over a light gray clay thickly applied opaque, lightly crackled glaze with feldspar that leaves bare a few small areas uncovered, which colored orange red during firing. On the cover a few circular black-brown underglaze "brush strokes".
Although bottom and cover clearly match, they do not make an airtight close line, but leave a couple of gaps. Few very short firing cracks.

This is a really nice Cobalt Blue Moderntone 4 inch high Water Tumbler made by Hazel Atlas Glass from 1934 to mid-1950s. They are 15.4 inches (39.3 cm) tall by 5.1 inches (13 cm) wide. The figure is about 13.9 inches (35.4 cm) tall by 3.85 inches (9.8 cm) wide. They are 2637 gram measured without stand.

They have flea bite chips at the back, inclusions, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Unusual vintage Japanese tea ceremony small chawan - a tea bowl - with pink outside. The piece was made at Shigaraki kilns - one of the six ancient kilns of Japan - and displays typical coarse body with large sand particles, freely applied pink slip with clearly visible traces of potter’s fingers. Very pleasant to hold, in excellent condition. Diameter 4.26 inches, height 2.54 inches.

Unusual piece made in marbled technique with resulting surface perfectly imitating twisted patterns of a burl wood.
