From a mid-west collection, the design, color and form are quite pleasing and could be used as a toggle or an eye-catching pendant when incorporated into a necklace. Janus-shaped helmet mask, the two back-to-back faces of a similar expression, surmounted by a semi circular flat coiffe. Wood, with glossy age patina. Africa, Nigeria, Idoma Peoples. Height: 14" (35 cm). Old insect infestations (no danger), small accidents and chips, otherwise very good condition.

DESCRIPTION: A Mexican carved wood sculpture of an indigenous female, used as a processional “pole puppet” during Mexican festivals. The polychrome decorated figure has articulated arms and legs and a hole running through the waist through which a pole or dowel would be inserted. The pole, when mounted with several puppets, would be used in festival processions, with the bouncing of the pole animating the movements of the figures...

This large basket is quite the find. It has an over-sized twist handle of crystal clear glass. The rim is surrounded by gradated colors - almost like a stain of cranberry red. The body is heavy (4 lbs.) and is clear the shines yellow-green under black light. The bottom shows a finished pontil. All-in-all this lovely glass basket stands ( 1/2" tall to the top of the handle and 10" long. It is in excellent condition. I have other interesting and elegant glassware in my inventory .....

DESCRIPTION: A Chinese pendant with coral colored stone mounted as a brooch in high relief with a scholar standing under a twisting pine in a mountain setting. The rectangular gilt frame is cast as four bamboo stalks and has a sturdy open “mesh” backing fitted with a stick pin and gold loop so that it can be worn as a brooch or necklace. Very fine work overall with no tarnish anywhere to the gilt frame. DIMENSIONS: 2 3/8” long (6 cm) x 1 7/8” wide (4.8 cm).

The glass is acid etched with a floral pattern called “Chantilly.” The dish is divided into three sections. It has a heavy sterling silver base. Condition: Excellent

This lovely candlestick features Hiesey's very popular upside-down Orchids and bows. The Orchid pattern was produced between 1940 and 1957, and this one still bears its foil Heisey label. The taper will fit in the deep hole of the flared and knobbed candle holder. It measures 4 3/4" across the foot and stands 3 3/4" high. This lovely is in excellent, unused condition.
