Stylish Italian 800 silver lighter. Large apple with naturalistic irregular form and striated skin. Leafing stem. Underside has inset lighter. Italian maker’s mark (1944-68) as well as script Buccellati stamp. Good condition with deep patina. Lighter not detachable or in working order.

Offered is this beautiful Dale Chihuly three-piece sea-form 'Persian' set (not sure if it is a stand-alone set or part of a bigger set). Polished pontils on very light glass. The biggest piece is 10 1/2 inches long. Except for a minor chip (see last picture), the set is in great condition. Unsigned (if it was part of a bigger set, perhaps, one piece of the set, the largest, was signed, as is/was typical of Chihuly).

A chinese Blanc de Chine figure of Magu with a fawn at her side looking up at her. Magu is standing on a rocky base in flowing robes holding a ewer in both hands, the fawn supporting a basket of flowers on it's back. Impressed double marks on the upper back.

The double gourd mark reads "Dehua"

The square seal reads Puji Yuren...."the vastly accomplished fisherman", and is one that was used by the potter Su Xuejin (1869-1919)...

Astounding set of 12 Art Deco sterling silver swizzle sticks with star-shaped ivory finials by Jean Puiforcat, one of France’s most important silversmiths. The silver is beautifully gilt to accent the natural color of the ivory. The swizzle sticks are presented in their original red felt-lined fitted box marked “Puiforcat Orfèvre Paris”. A rare and beautiful Murano glass vase made by Barovier & Toso around 1950, in their 'Laguna Gematta' decor. The aqua-colored vase has embedded flecks of gold, which is typical of Laguna/autumno Gematta decor. The vase is 11 1/2 inches (29 cm) tall, 8 1/4 inches (21 cm) wide at the top and is 5 1/8 inches (13 cm) deep. It is in fine condition, without chips, cracks or repairs (there are some usage scratches at the bottom, as expected). Polished pontil. Unsigned, as expected.

Mirror imaged pair of Chinese planters with attached bases painted. These tapered square planters have a design of birds and flowers on opposite sides with writing and a red seal and on the adjacent sides a poem along with additional two red seals. Painted in white on the outside with a slightly orange peel ground effect. The insides are lightly glazed. The bases are recessed with the corner mounts left un-glazed...

Pair of antique large Chinese cloisonne horses. The horses of red tones divided by wires with each animal standing on a raised foreleg. Decorated on the body, legs and head with cropped manes. The blazes on the heads coloured white, as well as just above the hoofs. The tails are removable...

This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by the Schwarzburger Werkstatten or Schwarzburg Workshops in the 1920s. The base has the impressed initials AST which stand for the artist Albert Storch. The factory was founded by Max Aldolf Pfeiffer in 1908 and he was the director until 1913 at which time he became the artistic director at Meissen. The highest standards of artistic accomplishment is evident. The macaw is 15 1/2 inches high, 12 inches wide and 7 inches deep...

From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a handsome Persian Heriz rug featuring wool on cotton construction, utilizing an elegant palette of cranberry red, black, and salmon as the main colors of the so-called "shield pattern" central field, and using secondary accent colors of blue-green, orange, brown and beige, along with turtle motif designs in the borders.

A rather unusual fan painting (senmen) portraying an image of a dragon rising above the clouds done using fingers. The tradition of finger painting is thought to have originated from China. Eccentric literati artists used their fingers instead of the brush to become one with the painting. Work contains a signature and seal by an artist named Sonsen. Additionally, the inscription on the fan reads: finger painted by Sonsen. Age: Early 20th century Size: Height 55.5" Length 27.5"

Japanese choba tansu (merchant's chest) from the Sakata area, made of keyaki (elm) wood with kiri (paulownia) wood interior. The upper and lower portions of the chest have drawers of various sizes. Japanese 20th century large porcelain vase by FUJII SHUMEI. The large bulbous form is decorated in a beautifully detailed mountain landscape with many trees. Signed SHUMEI on bottom. FUJII SHUMEI is a famous porcelain artist who exhibits at the prestigious annual NITTEN show in Japan. No storage box. The vase measures 12 1/2" tall and has a 11" diameter.

Rare "Buddha Asuka (B)" woodblock print by Kiyoshi Saito, 1955, number 40 of only 50 printed, signed in white ink and sealed in red ink both on the image area. Signed and sealed printed label "self-carved self printed" also included (attached to paper backing removed to inspect condition.)

We were not able to find a recent auction record for this image with data available. Another mid-century work by Saito (in color) titled Asuka (Kudara Kannon) [possibly confused by the artist with one of...

A Chinese duan inkstone housed in a fitted carved box, most probably for a scholar. The box is carved with birds on flowering branches. The box sits on four corner mounts. The stone is carved with a poem. I believe that the box is zitan. (Note: Some of the pictures have been lightened to show the detail.)

Elegant set by deLillo made of black and fuchsia crystals. Each flower head has been hand wired and the center of each flower head is a tiny matte jet flower--a flower within a flower. Note the beautiful filigree backing that adds sparkle through the crystal flower faces. Designed and hand done by Robert Clark, Chief designer for the House of deLillo. This set came from Mr.deLillo's personal archives. The necklace is 3" wide, inside circumference is 12 1/2". Clip earrings are 1 1/4" in diameter....
