This superb carved bamboo brush holder (or Bitong) is an early 20th century product. It is 7 ¼” high and 5 ¼” wide. It depicts the popular Chinese folk story of Fu, Lu, Shou ( 福祿壽 ). Fu, Lu and Shou are attributes of the good life. They were personified as deities in Chinese culture. Fu is carrying a young child and represents good fortune. Lu is holding a RuYi scepter and represents prosperity. Shou is holding a peach and represents longevity...

Beautiful 11 ½ inch tall signed Daum Nancy bulbous white stick vase with chipped ice finish. The vase is decorated in a Delft scene with a windmill, sail boats, birds and a wooded landscape. The bulbous vase is 5 inches in diameter and there is no damage.

Exquisite 2 color 18K 1940's gold and platinum ring with a singular iridescent pearl at the center and tiny diamonds set quietly in the platinum. Decorative gold and platinum leaf and flower forms envelope the entire band of the ring. The ring is as beautiful when seen in person as in the photos. Possibly Austrian or French. Size 4 1/2.

Ikebana basket (hanakago) made of dark brow varnished bamboo wickerwork, elongated rounded shape, with a handle made of three varnished wooden branches. Thicker bamboo braids on the four sides. The roughness of the handle is a reminder of a raw wood and contrasts with the delicate weaving braiding of the basket.

A Carved silhouette agate snuff bottle, the slightly flattened globular body carved to the front face using the dark brown layer with a scholar among trees, flowers and rockery. The reverse left bare. Complete with original matching agate stopper. Recessed base.

Antique Chinese apothecary chest. Upper portion has an open display shelf with pierced carved dragons on the sides and a medallion on the back depicting a bird on a blossoming tree branch. The middle portion has 19 drawers, all the same size with the exception of one wider drawer toward the bottom. Each drawer is divided into three sections for storage of medicines and herbs. There is a hidden storage area accessed by openings beneath the bottom drawers...

European silver and enamel cigarette case, ca 1920. Rectangular, chamfered, and hinged. On cover a horse’s head appears in an entryway, with two protective borzoi dogs standing guard. This is a very nice sword walking stick that features two lions heads as the handle. Carved in ivory, this stick measures 40 1/4" x 2 1/2" x 1 3/4". The handle itself measures 5 3/4" x 2 1/2" x 1 3/4". The collar is 1", the ferrule is 1 1/2" and the length of the blade of the sword is 25". Quite a weapon!

Pair of Eisenhower-era sterling silver mint juleps. Made by Scearce in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Straight and tapering sides, and beaded and molded rim and foot.
