Japanese E. to Mid 20th century bronze vase by IPPOU. The vase has the design of various sea life creatures, such as octopus and a variety of fish done in fine design and detail. Signed IPPOU on bottom. The vase measures 8 3/4" tall and 5 1.2" in diameter.

DESCRIPTION: A three gallon Roseville stoneware crock with an off-white exterior glaze and dark brown interior. The bottom is inscribed: “3 gal., R.R. P. Co., Roseville, Ohio, USA.” These larger crocks are perfect for your antique kitchen implements such as rolling pins, large wooden spoons, etc. Excellent condition, no chips. A Chinese shoushan seal carved in its natural form. On one side it shows a man riding a donkey, with another kneeling gathering items under a large tree. The reverse reveals a home in the distance. On this side, there is also a four character carved mark. This seal is carved all around using its natural colours and striations for features within the carving. The base holds the seal...

A Chinese duan inkstone housed in a fitted carved box, most probably for a scholar. The box is carved with birds on flowering branches. The box sits on four corner mounts. The stone is carved with a poem. I believe that the box is zitan. (Note: Some of the pictures have been lightened to show the detail.)

A pair of Chinese famille verte enameled porcelain boxes formed as recumbent quails. Realistically modelled, the feathers under green, aubergine and yellow glazes, the interiors glazed turquoise. The underside of the boxes molded with a pair of tucked-in legs, left unglazed. Resting on carved fitted wooden stands.

A pair of Chinese famille rose chargers each painted with the same scene of two long tailed pheasants perched in flowering boughs amongst blue pierced rocks, within a pierced enamelled & gilt spearhead border on a white ground. The backs of each glazed white with no marks.

Nostalgic glass vanity jar with enameled sterling silver cover. Made in London in 1934. Oval jar with straight and fluted sides. Cover has motoring scene: A Victorian lady and two gentlemen tootle along in a turn-of-the-century automobile. A sweet look back. Hallmark includes George V’s silver jubilee mark. Japanese 20th century carved and painted wooden rat by KATO TOMOHIKO (1938-). KATO TOMOHIKO is a NITTEN artist. Signed TOMOHIKO. Comes with TOMOBAKO, original wooden artist signed storage box. The rat measures 10" long, 3 1/4" tall and 3" wide.

This silver overlay vase was produced in Germany by Friedrich Spar & Company around 1930. Except for a number 21 in red it is not signed but we are certain of its origin. The vase measures 7 inches in diameter. The art deco design is Asian inspired with pink flowers and branches spreading around the porcelain. The ground color is medium blue which contrasts so beautifully with the pink blossoms. The silver work is elaborate. Condition: Excellent

The rarer Katsinas of the some of the Rio Grande Pueblos are stylistically similar to Hopi figures, though often made of pine wood. Hopi Katsinas are made of cottonwood and more simply painted. This doll has great provenance: Dorothy Louise Luhrs, PhD. She taught at UNM School of Field Research. She was born in 1910 and she died in 1972. DESCRIPTION: Wonderful melon-shaped split oak basket with a sturdy bentwood handle which is oak-wrapped on both ends. This early 1900’s basket is in great condition with no losses noted. DIMENSIONS: 15" long x 12.5" wide; height with handle is 11", w/o 8".

DESCRIPTION: Nice pair of wooden exercise clubs or juggling pins. The bodies of both clubs have been turned and the lines painted in alternating colors of red and green. Very good condition with normal wear and no cracks. DIMENSIONS: The taller club is 13.75” high; the shorter club is 12" high.

A collection of pencil neck vases and a large brandy snifter all in satinato glass. Orange, green, blue and yellow satinato colors are represented. All pieces have a clear satinato foot. Pieces were designed and made by Carlo Moretti for Rosenthal-Netter.

Rare, early hand forged sterling silver sauce or gravy boat designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). Weighing 153 grams the bowl measures 7 1/2" long X 2 3/4" wide & 2" high. Beautiful condition with a gorgeous hand hammered interior.

This hand hammered sterling silver bowl was designed & signed c. 1940's by Taxco Mexico artist William Spratling. The interior of the bowl measures 6 1/2" across & 2 1/2 inches deep. Bowl weight is 652 grams or 23 oz. Each of the 3 handles are accented with 2 raised silver domes. Beautiful condition. Excellent accent piece for any room. This design is included in the superb & permanent 20th century Mexican silver collection at LACMA.

DESCRIPTION: An appealing green nephrite disk or bi, carved with two chilong dragons whose heads and bodies ring the edges with their limbs draping down on either side. From a mid-west collection, the design, color and form are quite pleasing and could be used as a toggle or an eye-catching pendant when incorporated into a necklace. DIMENSIONS: 2 5/8” diameter (6 cm), 2.25 oz. (64g) weight.

Cambridge Gold Kristol (yellow) Handled Tort, Apple Blossom was produced from 1930-40. This one is in mint condition measuring 11" square.

Measuring 11.5" wide x 15.75" long, this lovely, circa 1930, crosstitch cross stitch sampler depicts the history of a New York City and New Jersey family with multiple cultural nationalities displayed as well as a variety of early family occupations, significant streets, town, and structures.

Interestingly, whomever wrought this very detailed, family-history sampler omitted just one significant detail- the family surname!
