Rare and unusual Iban pottery pattern paddle carved from durable Iron Wood (Belian wood), circa 19th century. The pattern on this would be pressed into unfired clay pots to give it this design by the Iban people of Sarawak. This technique has been used since Neolithic times predating the pottery wheel, where pots were made by coiling “ropes” of clay into a shape and then using the paddle to press the coils together to make a shape...

Carving of a Chinese scholar made from dark hardwood with lighter orange highlighted areas, his eyes closed as if in deep meditation. He sits with one leg curled underneath himself, his left arm rested upon a carved stool or small table, with the face of a beast. He holds a scroll in his hand and creates a Buddhist mudra gesture with the same hand.

Brilliant Cut Glass Hinged Box - This box, all original, is a very unusual size, as the glass lid is considerable smaller than the jar itself. I don't know patterns, and it is not signed, but I do know that its quite lovely, the top matches the bottom, and its in perfect condition. It measures 4 1/4" tall x 5" diameter on the top and 6" diameter on the bottom.

This lovely sterling brush has a marquise-shaped porcelain insert with a blue and white Dutch windmill scene. It was manufactured by the Alvin Manufacturing Company of Providence, Rhode Island. This company, currently a division of Gorham, was founded in 1886 and was known for its sterling flatware, hollow ware, toilet ware, and novelties. The brush bears two marks for the company along with STERLING, 250 C, and Pat app for.

The mark of Ando Jubei is stamped on the bottom gilded rim of this 6.5" tall 20th century cloisonne vase. A cluster of silver wired grapes and leaves decorate the deep green ground.
Condition: Good, with only scuffing to the bottom rim, and a small indention to the upper. Also, there is a slight scratch below the grape cluster and another above the left wire tendril, too faint to photograph. The various white spots are merely light reflection.
An antique Chinese square table of tieli-mu wood with a lacquered finish. The apron is carved bamboo leaves and is supported by four legs carved in stylized bamboo leaves. The table has a second tiered shelf.

A nice and interesting polished Nephrite amulet in the shape of a Cicada, Ming style.
The pendant carved in a rarely seen brown-black stone. This fine nephrite pendant comes from an old German Collection of handpicked Chinese jade carvings of insects from different periods, from the Neolithic to 20th. century. The cicada was carved in a Ming Dynasty Style, but possible from Qing Dynasty, we're not certain.

A Moser footed master salt with tooled and gilded rim. The colorless salt has a polished pontil mark and is 3.25 inches tall and 3.25 inches in diameter. The salt is decorated with heavy gold enameling. There is wear to the gold on the edge of the foot and on the tooled rim.

Rare and very large hand made clay Santos, possibly the Virgin Mary, Cuba, c.1900. Female figure with hinged moveable(when created but no longer)arms. This Denver souvenir fork is 5 1/4" in length and is marked with the word "sterling" only on the reverse. It features the Columbine flower and scroll work in the bowl.
This vintage stoneware pottery 6 gallon ice water dispenser (water cooler) was made by Roseville Pottery Company circa 1900 or before.
The cooler measures 17 1/2" including the lid. The outside diameter is 12". This crock, stoneware ice water cooler weighs in at a hefty 41 pounds.
The blue paint is still very vibrant. The gasket around the spigot should be replaced because it has some dry rot. Overall condition is excellent except for one 2 1/4" exterior craze line near the top.
