A very rare "Cheerio" cocktail shaker in ruby glass with its original chrome top and recipe holder. The recipe holder contains a series of twelve cards that illustrate recipes for different cocktails. The recipes are far more varied than most recipe shakers, and include directions for a Hula-Hula, Princesse,Bamboo, Blackthorn and Aldo-Tropical. The cards have a patent date of 1934.

Rare blond tortoiseshell case, circa 1930, is considered the most desirable of all tortoiseshell. This handmade case was originally made to hold cigarettes but is a perfect size for business cards. Having a rich amber color and inlaid with a gold diamond shape monogram SH, slightly domed and grained surface, arm swings out from base to create a stand. Measurements: 5"x 3 1/2"x 1/4". Very good vintage condition with minor surface scratches and small chip inside lip.

A good bronze footed trumpet vase by Carl Sorensen. The surface is patinated in a dark mottled green and is enhanced with parallel engraved lines forming bands decorated in a darker green patination. The small foot makes this one of Sorensen's more unusual vase designs. Sorensen made a variety of decorative metalwares, but little is known about him. This very well painted Chinese Famille Rose ceramic picture is 8 ¾ inches wide and 11 ¾ inches long (with frame is 14 ½ inches wide and 19 ½ inches long). It depicts two long-tailed birds standing on a higher branch looking at their offspring in their nest. This tile picture is a 1940’s product. It is in excellent condition.

Exquisite cup & saucer with a handpainted scene of a lady relaxing in a pastoral setting being serenaded by a cherub playing a mandolin. It is marked Cauldon Ltd. England, and signed Wagner. It is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The gold is also in perfect condition, with no wear at all. This set has the gold band on the bottom, which I believe signifies that it was a special order.

This is an exquisite handpainted cup and saucer depicting flowers in blue and gold with just tiny touches of white and pink. It is signed Limoges, France, and alo Raphael Weil & Cie, San Francisco. Wonderful Japanese figure of the Buddhist deity Bishamonten (Hindu name: Vaisravana), made out of iron. Bishamonten is cheif of the Four Heavenly Kings and is the guardian of the northern direction (in Japan he is one of the Seven Lucky Gods), he holds a small pagoda in one hand symbolizing the divine treasure house, whose contents he both guards and gives away. Signed by the artist: Seiun. circa mid 1930's. Size: 25" high x 12" wide x 9" deep.

A rare silverplate cocktail recipe disk by Napier. The silverplate case holds a celluloid dial that can be rotated to show printed recipes for twenty classic cocktails. A jump bail allows the disk to be hung by a chain around a cocktail shaker or decanter. The rim is marked "Napier Pat. Pend." We've never seen this particular Napier design before.

Origin: America, ca. 1935. Condition: very good, very minor plating wear as is typical of Napier pieces. Dimensions: 2" diameter.
