Horizon is a Fostoria pattern that was produced from 1951 to 1958. It is a perfect blend of 'fifties modern' and simple elegance. This plate is the 7 inch salad/luncheon size in Cinnamon color. Mask carved in a very hard wood, the design is minimal. However the lines formed by the nose and the continuity with those located above the eyes evoke the shape of a spider. Note a slot on the right of the mask, however well secured by a metal clip. Far north west of Nepal, Humla region, H 34 cm, W 19 cm, age circa mid 20th.

Fazzoletto (handkerchief) vase with undulating rim in red (exterior) and white (interior) glass. The technique for fusing the two colors of glass is known as incamiciato. The vase measures 3 inches (7.6 cm) tall and is 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) in diameter. Excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. This has some minor wear to the base as expected. Some tooling marks are visible where the artist crimped the rim, these occur during manufacturing and are not damage. Circa 1950's...

This interesting vase has a notch in it making it look a little like Pac Man, but giving it a very distinct form. However, we believe that it was created in a studio by excellent ceramicists who decorated the vase with free flowing green and blue glazes. One side has a stack of incised chevrons running down the center. The underside is marked with what appears to be W NZ VI, marks whose identity elude us...
This is the top part of a longuer pole fixed on bridge for protection of travellers. Although the carving is rought one can distinguish the minimal face either of a local deityor or also possible of the Sun. Age is circa mid 20th as it is already in my collection since 1992, good condition it is based on an old piece of wood which can be removed.

A hand carved wood totem pole on a round base, made for the tourist trade at mid-century, no signature, 7" high and 6 1/4" widest point on the wings, with original yellow sticker on the back from Indian Craft Shoppe, 905 Government Street, Victoria, British Columbia. There is a little chip off the tip of one wing, otherwise is in good condition.
Being offered is a circa 1955 sterling silver goblet by Sanborns, of Mexico City, Mexico. Entirely handwrought large goblet adorned with Aztec rose motifs on the cup and the raised fluted base. Dimensions: 7 1/2 inches high x 3 inches diameter. No monogram. Marked as illustrated in photo. In excellent condition. Great heavy weight of a whopping 8 ozs.

Nursery rhyme-themed sterling silver porringer. Made by Tiffany in New York. Round and curved. Handle solid and curvilinear with goose neck mounts. On handle is low-relief depiction of Old King Cole, who has "called for his pipe and called for his bowl." A dense olden-days scene with no room for the "fiddlers three." There's plenty of room for engraving, though. Fully marked including postwar pattern no. 25352. Very good condition.

The three legs articulated in white against a black background. 1950's, unsigned, in the style of Kostanda, Rivier, Fidler or Derval. Width "12/ 30 cm, height "2¾/ 7 cm. DESCRIPTION: A lovely set of five red clay Mexican earthenware nesting bowls, dating from the 1950's. The bowls are decorated in fluid strokes of blue between blue line borders on a white/cream ground. The interiors have a line of blue around the inner circumference with dollops of green glaze. Very good condition, no chips, original imperfections that add to the charm. DIMENSIONS: Largest bowl: 10.25 diameter x 4.75” high. Smallest bowl: 5.5” diameter x 2” high.
