This is a Chinese Nephrite JADE PENDANT with a Carving of a LADY. The back has a depiction of a Leaf. Size is 1 5/8" X 3" X 1" in thickness. There is a pierced point at the top where a Pendant Bale can be attached. This Carving has a Primitive feel. Based upon what the original owner told me, this Pendant was purchased in mainland China. Date this JADE LADY circa 1950, perhaps earlier. FYI... the Stone easily passes the Jade Scratch test. Condition is Excellent...

A rare model of Ghurra composed of a chain with 2 square links whose upper link carries an ancestor seated at its top who seems to be in a meditation position. The lower link shows on each of its 4 faces naive sculptures of various mythical animals, elephant, deer, cow, dog and peacock. The ancestor measures 9 cm high, his face measures 3 cm. Superb hard inlaid patina. Presented on an iron stand. Note that this ghurra has undergone several discreet local repairs...

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen in the mid 20th century. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The cup features an entwined branch handle. The set is decorated with brightly colored flowers, realistically hand painted. The flowers on both pieces match. There is gold trim on the rims. Condition: Excellent. This is a first quality set.

This extremely unusual sculptural item is made of solid, clear glass with internal red and green inclusions. It is unsigned, but possibly by Fulvio Bianconi for Cenedese, circa 1950s. In the 1950s, Bianconi, who is best known for his creations for Venini, designed a series of objects for Cenedese in which he "drew" with multicolored glass threads in colorless glass. The distinctive color scheme and bold experimentation of this non-functional item makes Bianconi a likely designer. Unsigned.

This is a woman's shawl from Waziristan in deep magenta, yellow and black, with a woven cotton field on the edges and silk thread throughout. It measures 123 cm in width and 249.9 cm in length. Estimated age early to mid 20th century. Waziristan is entirely populated by ethnic Pashtuns and is named after the Wazir tribe. Condition is good, some staining to be expected from normal wear.

Extremely fine triple cased sommerso decanter attributed to Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte, circa 1950s. This is a child's helmet ("khohl") from Kohistan, an isolated mountainous region of northern Pakistan located on the river Indus. Metal zippers, white beaded fringes, silver pendants and mirrored discs all serve to guard against the djinn, or evil spirits. The helmet has a high peaked crown supported by inserted sticks of wood, and topped with a beaded tassel. The helmet falls into a V-shape over the shoulders and back, measuring 62 cm from the tassel to the shawl base. Circumference: 42 cm. ...
