Bashofu kimono hand-woven of banana fiber for both wefts and warps. The yarn is rather thicker and tougher comparing with very fine yarn for thinner and higher quality bashofu, so that it is for a everyday kimono or work wear. Brown stripes are also banana fibers. This porcelain figurine of a kitten was produced in Bavaria by Rosenthal between 1921 and 1922. It is signed by the artist, Theodore Karner. The kitten measures 6 ½ inches long, 3 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches high. The figure is modeled with great attention to detail. Karner is known for giving his creations wonderful personality. The Silhouette series wine glass is illustrated on page 15B of the Libbey-Nash Series 1933 catalog as shown in Fauster on page 330. These were listed in the catalog as available with either black or opalescent stems, although others can be found in clear or frosted colorless glass. The 6 inch tall cocktail glass is signed and perfect.

This little wooden box is a fantasy delight to hold your most often worn rings and other jewels. It has a leather-look surface embossed with a gryffon rampant on top. The edges and all sides are ornately patterned. It as a lock, but the key has disappeared into the mists of time. There are some minor scuffs on surface. The box is 4¼” x 3½” x 2¼” in size. The age unknown, best guess is midcentury.

Souvenir cup and saucer made in England by Johnson Brothers, c 1960. Transfer printed in dark brown with a picture of Manhattan and Empire State Building, highlighted with blue skies. Diameter of saucer "4½/ 11,5 cm, height of cup "2¼/ 5,5 cm. Condition: fine.

A signed Libbey silhouette series cat goblet. The stem is a “moonstone” (opalescent) figure of a cat. The wine glass is 7 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. The Silhouette series by Libbey-Nash was produced in 1933 and consisted of 13 different animals. Each type of item (goblet, wine, sherry, compote, etc) used a different animal as a stem.

Japanese Uchikake (wedding gown) with Imperial Carts, flowers and gold color “maku” (outside cloth divider). The divider is used as a street on this gown leading the wagons to the large area at the bottom half. The background colors from the top are orange, light pink to dark gray at the bottom. The liner is red. The condition is excellent, like new.

Traditional folk Korean patchwork hemp textile made from various scrap fabrics (white x lustrous beige) called Bojagi (Pojagi), mid 20th century, approx. 68 x 69cm (26.77 x 27.16in), embodies the lifestyle and the story of the people who take good care of their possessions at that time...

Important mask of the "kiwoyo muyombo" type, of elongated shape, with a protruding forehead and fine features, surmounted by a highly stylized cylindrical coiffe, and a long "beard" decorated in relief with bicolored lozenges and framed by weaved bamboo slices. Fine glossy patina. Africa, Gabon, Pende Peoples. Height: 45 cm. The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Small losses, otherwise very good condition.

Ornate English sterling silver picture frame by Keyford Frames. Featuring a heart-shaped opening with with cherubs at each corner, the frame is hallmarked KFD. Backed in very dark purplish blue velvet, it stands 7.5" high at the highest point x 5.5" wide. The heart-shaped opening will hold a 4" wide x 5.5" high photo. A little wear to the velvet at the bottom, otherwise in excellent condition.

Heavy weight Crystal square Inkwell, 1930's, 3" x 3" wide, 2 1/2" high, 1 1/2" diameter-top opening, some chips and rough edges but not much noticeable.

Large Hongshan Round disk Face Pendant in Orange Nephrite. The piece looks very contemporary but the details reveal its age . Nice wear with extensive tremolite growth. biconically drilled suspension holes and signs of wear. Size just under 2" by 2" weight 48G Collected in Hk 1980-1995.

Charming Art Deco child's porcelain cup and saucer decorated with transfer scenes depicting "Little Boy Blue". The outside of the cup is decorated on both sides and there is a small scene on the interior, as well. The saucer has three matching small pastoral scenes. The rims and handle are decorated with gilding.

Origin: probably England, ca. 1930. Condition: excellent, normal glaze crackling, no chips or cracks. Size: cup, 2-1/2" tall; saucer, 5-1/2" diameter.

A French Art Deco cocktail pick set in the unusual form of a large snail accompanied by a pair of baby snails. The snail is usually alone or perhaps with just one smaller one. They are worked in chrome and are set on a mahogany base. The design is by the famed French Art Deco illustrator Benjamin Rabier, who had a side gig designing entertaining barware. The twelve picks have red bakelite finials...

Duncan and Miller made this Blue Opalescent Silvan Swan in the 1940's. It is 8" in length and in mint condition. Two are available.

Fine Japanese miniature garden kit, all made with natural material, ca 1940-1960, original wood box. We used a simple cardboard box as a tray with small black pebbles under. You can created/draw water if the sand is used instead. The dimension of the box are 15 3/4” x 7 3/16” x 3 5/8”. Fence: 9 1/8 long (flattened for storage) x 3 3/4” high. Board with a frog: 5 1/8” long. Please ask for other measurements.

Exhibited, is a fine European antique shoe horn with an incredible carved horn handle in form of a dog's head and ebony shaft, close attention to every details, Size: The carved handle measures 3.5 inches long and overall length of shoe horn is 22 inches long. Condition Report: good condition considering age of this beautiful item, age crack to the lower end of shaft, late 19th/early 20th century era.

This elderly man with a smiling face is 8” high (with the hard wood base, it is 9” high), 1 ¾” wide and 1” thick. It is a mid-20th century product. The bearded man wears an old style short robe and pants. His right hand is holding a straw bag and a wooden tobacco pipe; his left hand is holding a long bamboo staff. It is in great condition.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Denmark by Dahl Jensen. The D-J factory closed in 1984. It was a relatively small factory with limited production. The model number is 1032 which we believe was modeled before 1970. It is 4 3/4 inches high and 3 1/2 inches across the wings. This duckling is a spunky little guy. His modeling captures his lively personality. He is hand painted with shades of brown and beige giving him a soft appearance. Condition: Excellent, first quality...

Fenton Rose Mist Pitcher was made in the early 1960's as part of their Vasa Murrhina collection. It is about 5.25" high. This syrup does have some "schmutz" on the interior side of the top opening. A minor inconvenience, but I must include its presence. These are impurities within the making of the glass.

This almost Streamline pair we've never seen before. The gentle arc of the cognac toned arms and slightly tapered back create a sumptous look that will enthrall you and your guests. These hand painted decanter bottles were produced by Imperial Glass Company. The shape is shown in the 1941 catalog with various cuttings and decoration. The hand painted flowers are enameled - they do not wash or scrape off the way cold paint would - and are the perfect compliment to FireKing's Peach Blossom decoration. I have 2 different styles. A vintage Japanese 2 section Kamo Kimono Tansu chest made entirely of Kirinoki (Paulownia). All original hardware with maker's name engraved into the main lock plate. Below the bottom drawer lies a false floor cover that hides a secret compartment where important papers and valuables were kept.

This is a very attractive Vintage Japanese cloisonne vase designed with a contemporary style or deco look. We have never seen another like it. The vase is rather large and is signed Sato. It stands 7 1/2 tall and is 8 1/2 inches wide. It is in excellent condition with only a little pitting on the bottom rim. This is probably the finest cloisonne example we have seen produced from this company.
