Japanese woven suiban. This low, shallow container is used for ikebana flower arranging. Rectangular in form, this suiban is raised on low feet. A grain or leaf-like design is woven into all sides and the corners have intricate knot work. An oval shaped metal container sits perfectly inside for holding water.

Salad-size stoneware bowl from the Danish Hjorth factory, c 1920 to 30. Light grey glaze and Art Deco stylized floral decoration in blue to the exterior, the interior with a central ornament in blue, yellow and brown. Height "4½/ 11 cm, diameter "7½/ 19,5 cm. Impressed marks: L.Hjorth, deer mark, Denmark and Z 50 (model number?). Condition: wear to rim and some glaze blisters.

Exquisite cup & saucer with a handpainted scene of a lady relaxing in a pastoral setting being serenaded by a cherub playing a mandolin. It is marked Cauldon Ltd. England, and signed Wagner. It is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The gold is also in perfect condition, with no wear at all. This set has the gold band on the bottom, which I believe signifies that it was a special order.

A very finely painted fencai/famille rose enamelled teapot.The poem on the reverse side reads - "fang sheng chi jia; xiang qin xiu pi" which can be translated - "Fragrance (of tea)formed between teeth and cheeks; the scent (of the tea) deeply affects heart and spleen (refreshes one deeply)". It is signed "nie xing she zou" - "made by Nie Xing Sheng" (b.1909; d.1981) - active 1916-1981. The base mark reads Jiang Xi Mei Shu Ci Chang - "Jiangxi Art Porcelain Factory"...

This Tibetan pipe was made and used for smoking hand rolled tobacco cigarettes only. The body of the pipe is antelope horn and according to the Tibetans, they stopped killing the antelope many years ago. Pipe is 8 inches long.

An antique Japanese bronze Koi (carp) fountain. Depicting a carp breaching the water surface as it attempts to swim up a waterfall. The casting symbolizes true perseverance and tenacity in achieving ones personal goals. Fine details show on the fins, the scales, the barbels and sun-like designs just above the gills.

Japanese vintage obi with a mid-century modern flair, decorated on one side in bright yellow with orange and lime green dots accenting the points of a raised weave geometric star-patterned background. The orange reverse side holds the same raised weave pattern. Probably dates from the mid-20th century or slightly later. 135” long x 5 7/8” wide. Excellent, like new condition.

Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead with milky white body and multicolor brocade pattern. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Superbly made piece, in perfect condition. Height 0.68 inches.

Measuring 56 x 88 cm, this horse headcover was hand-embroidered by Uzbeks of the Lakai tribe, well-known for their horsemanship. Each of the embroidered panels feature solar and horned designs, executed in Bukhara couching on red wool flannel, fringed with beaded silk tassels ending in small white beads, a typical feature in Central Asian embroidery. Condition is good but with a few small holes. Estimated age: mid 20th century.

This lovely Orchid decanter (#5025) features Heisey's crystal clear glass and its very popular upside down orchid and bows. This decanter is fitted with a sterling silver stopper that is marked and its in excellent condition. It stands 8 1/2" tall to the top of the silver stopper and the decanter is in excellent condition. It was produced sometime between 1940-57. This "Whitehall" punch bowl, cups, and ladle were made by Colony. The punch bowl is 13 1/4" in diameter. The punch cups are footed. I have only 11 punch cups. All of the items are in excellent condition. This was made circa 1964. It is a stacked cube design.

Fenton's milkglass was made from 1952. This 6" mini basket is in excellent condition.

Ruby and crystal cornucopia pair in excellent condition. These can be vases, but the horizontal presentation of the cornucopia pair is sculptural and dramatic. These were protected over the years with felt pads at the crystal feet. Each piece is 14"h x 8" x 8". The dimension of the main photo horizontal display of the two forms is 22". Similar cornucopia by Seguso can be found in Leslie Pinas book "ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO", pgs. 202-206

A vintage mid century modernist salt spoon by William Spratling in sterling silver and ebony. From Spratling's 3rd design period.

The ebony wood and sterling salt spoon measures 3 1/4" long. Marked with the conjoined 'WS' and an eagle mark that is partially struck. It is in fine condition with some tarnish and a very minor ding.

Classic Spratling design.

This porcelain charger was produced in Germany by Meissen before 1970. It has a diameter of 10 inches and is 1 3/4 inches deep. The porcelain is the highest quality, with a shiny, even glaze. It is decorated with Chinese style ornaments. There are fighting roosters in the center, dragons and Chinese ornaments, all hand painted and gilded. There is heavy gold trim on the rim. Condition: Excellent. This is a first quality charger.

This Uzbek suzani from northern Afghanistan dates to the mid 20th century or later and measures 76 x 99 cm including the fringes. The textile is hand-embroidered in silk thread in vivid colors on a green rayon ground with copper encrustations throughout, and edged on two sides with crocheted silk fringe. Fine Japanese miniature garden kit, all made with natural material, ca 1940-1960, original wood box. We used a simple cardboard box as a tray with small black pebbles under. You can created/draw water if the sand is used instead. The dimension of the box are 15 3/4” x 7 3/16” x 3 5/8”. Fence: 9 1/8 long (flattened for storage) x 3 3/4” high. Board with a frog: 5 1/8” long. Please ask for other measurements.

Lovely composition of a banana leaf over a basket of cherries. There is an inscription with a cartouche below. It is mounted on teal paper and cream paper with a geometric pattern with flowers. It measures 17.75" wide 26.5" tall image, overall 22" wide by 74" long.

Set of two Chinese ink stones. The larger one is carved with dragons and clouds surrounding the three pots. On the back there are two sections of writing. The other stone is covered and the front cover has scenic carving with a poem. On the back of this one there is a three character seal mark. Both stones are well used.
