Depicting whirling solar and cross motifs, this fringed panel is known as a "Lali posh", a food cover used to present flat bread loaves at traditional Uzbek weddings. Outlines of chain stitching are filled with rows of fine, angled blanket stitch in wool thread on a plain-woven wool cloth dyed a deep shade of madder red. Some overcast stitching joins the three separate paneled sections. This textile shows the dynamic use of line and color for which Uzbek Lakai embroidery is famous...

China, 20th century, jade seal surmounted by a seated lion, stone of dark green color, uncarved. Size: Height of this fine carving is 4 1/2 inches, in very good condition.

This Morgantown Chanticleer novelty or figural stem features a crystal clear rooster. The blown bowl and the foot are a light amethyst, and altogether is quite festive indeed. These Chanticleer stems came in 6 colors and were produced in the 1930s. This one is in excellent, unused condition and stand 5" tall and 3" across the rim. A 7 inch tall signed Steuben goblet with colorless cup and foot joined by a Pomona Green twist stem. The goblet is shape 3551 and is decorated in the Van Dyke pattern. The goblet is signed on the polished pontil with the block letter Steuben mark.

Japanese obidome (sash ornament) with polished moss agate stone, its natural pattern perfectly resembling an early morning with mist revealing trees and bushes with wonderful atmosphere. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, it is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions, and could serve as netsuke as well. Amazing natural picture, excellent finish and patina. Metal fitting on the back with two loops for an obi cord. Length 1 1/2 inches.

A sterling silver vermouth dispenser in the form of a watering can by Cartier. When tipped, the dispenses sprinkles a drip or two of vermouth into the glass for the perfect martini. The bottom is marked “Cartier Sterling.” These cans were made specifically for Cartier’s New York store.
