Kokeshi, wooden folk toy of NE Japan. Height: 7.5". This is an example of kokeshi made in Fukushima Prefecture, other than its better known cousin of the "Tsuchiyu" tradition. This was made in 1968 at Takayu Onsen (Takayu Hot Spring) by the artisan, Shinogi Toshio, when he was 37 years old. Shinogi-san was born on September 3rd, Showa 6 (1931). A beautiful Murano glass candlestick, made by Barovier & Toso, around 1950, in their gold-flecked 'Corodonato d'Oro' decor. The candlestick is 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) tall and 4 5/8 inches (11,7 cm) wide. It is without chips, cracks or repairs (there is some wax-drippings and black soot build-up, which are to be expected in a candlestick - please see pictures).

Russian hand painted hinged top Lacquer Box, signed and dated by "Artist name, "1973" on the lower right side, 2" high, 6 1/4" x 4 3/8" wide. Small chips about 1/8" to 1/4" wide on the lacquer surface, some wear and tear, small scratches on the bottom outside.

An attractive, blue and white 2-1/4" high cup and matching 5-5/8" saucer made by Coalport, England. This bone china cup and saucer is in an unnamed pattern (listed as COACOA168 on Replacements) and it has gold trim. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor crazing in the bottom of the cup...

These two rare Morgantown Princess optic amber wine stems are little pieces of fine art glass. Each whisper-thin crystal clear Princess optic bowl is mold blown and hand finished. The amber, almost root beer color stems, are pulled from the base of the bowl and given a twist before being attached to the broad flat foot. The optic blown crystal is so shiny and thin - like a wisp - that I had a hard time capturing the optic details... each has a nice ring...

The size of Fubako: 11 1/2" Long x 8 9/16" Wide x 2 1/16" High. This is beautiful and classy Japanese Shunkei Lacquer Fubako (stationary box) with fine Japanse Brocade design with flower and karakusa design. Inside has lavender color velvet inside cover as well as inside bottom. The condition of Fubako excellent. It never been used. There is no warping. No scratch and wear. It has the date on the back of box Showa 54. (1979) Sept. 6th. It said as the appreciation of many long years working...

This Fenton pattern was introduced in 1970 and quickly became a brisk seller.

Originally this particular type of glass was developed in 1885 by the Mt. Washington glass Company. Queen Victoria named the glass "Burmese" because the beautiful blend of colors reminded her of sunset in Burma.

Fenton Cranberry Hobnail Double Crimped Opalescent 9" Bowl was made in the 1950's. In excellent condition.

This carved amethyst snuff bottle is a mid 20th century product. It is 2 1/8” high, 3” wide and 1” thick. It depicts two lotus pods wrapped with lotus leaves. The hard stone lid and bamboo spoon are later replacements. It is in excellent condition.

A pair of beautiful silver gold washed Italian filigree coral chandelier earrings. In excellent condition. L:8cm Marked.

This is a unique bulldog walking stick. The handle of the stick is ivory and the bulldog on the end is metal. There is a very thin silver collar that separates the shaft from the ivory. There is a good amount of detail on this dog and the rosewood shaft is in good condition. The ferrule is ivory as well. This stick measures 35 1/4" x 5" x 1 1/4". The handle measures 1 1/2" x 5" x 1 1/4". The ferrule measures 1" and the collar 1/16".

Lovely C.1935 half moon bamboo flower basket. Smoked bamboo `susudake` from an old minka farm house hearth roof. Rich patina strips of bamboo woven into the weave. Excellent condition. Ask for shipping quote.

Gorgeous antique kimono in the best condition. Lined with red gauze silk, it is completely reversible. The color of the black silk has changed over the years to a very dark brownish gray evenly. The colors of the design are very classic Japanese colors as Imari red (brownish red) and same earth tone in every other colors. There is one tiny hole (1/16" in size) right by a family crest, Mon. There is no color loss inside.

Duncan & Miller Sandwich 12" Basket Vase. The Sandwich pattern was made from 1924 to 1955.

Great miniature Daum Nancy cameo vase with a winter scene. I have had this vase in many shapes and sizes, but never so small. It appears to be much harder to create one this small than a larger one. The vase measures 2 1/2" tall x 1" wide. It is signed, and has no damage, with the exception of some of the original gold worn on the very top.

A very lovely natural green Burmese jadite necklace, all stones were selected to match, none were dyed. The clasp is marked 'silver' and by the art deco design of it we date the piece to the 1920 - 1930's. The necklace measures 24" and consists of three strands. This is a nice weighty but very comfortable necklace, highly stylish and elegant, a real crowd pleaser.

This is a really nice crystal clear Colony 8 3/4 inch high footed candy dish or urn with lid made by Fostoria Glass. This rare, modernist bowl is quite exquisite. It is made by Aage Wiemar, Denmark. It has an approximate diameter of 3" and stands about 7/8". The bottom of the bowl is marked PURE SILVER AAGE WEIMAR DENMARK and has 4 other maker's marks/hallmarks below the above. The third mark is 9584. The bottom also has marks that are made by hand. The bowl/dish weighs just over 4 ounces.

This Famille Rose porcelain GuanYin figure is a mid-20th century product. It depicts a seated GuanYin holding a gold globe in her left hand. It is 10 1/8” high and 8” wide and 5 1/8” thick (both measured from the bottom). The artist name, Zheng Long Sheng, is stamped on the bottom. It is in great condition.

Being offered is a rare and charming circa 1950 sterling silver pitcher by Los Castillo of Taxco, Mexico. Measuring 18.5 x 28 cm when opened and 18.5 x 19.5 cm when closed, this pair of purses are from Katawaz in Paktika province, Afghanistan. The embroidery technique is an intricate ladder stitch depicting whirling solar motifs combined with button hole stitches around the mirrors ("shisha"). Offered is this beautiful Steuben Jade glass with alabaster 'M' handles that was converted to a lamp. Overall, the lamp is about 27 inches tall. The glass vase itself is over 10 inches in height and 7 1/2 inches wide (handle-to-handle) and 7 inches wide at the widest part (without handle). The glass is in excellent condition - no chips, cracks or repairs (the polished pontil of the vase has a clean drilled hole). There is a fabrication flaw (see 5th picture), that is typical of a hand-made item....
