Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead with blue and red core, four pink petaled flowers with numerous white stamens, leaves and fine tiny silver foil inclusions. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Superbly made piece - see the individual stamens and finely textured petals, in perfect condition. Height 0.77 inches.
Westmoreland pastel fruit basket is 6.5" long and in mint condition. Made in the mid 1960's.
Beautiful silk obi with a light tan background, decorated with flowers, lanterns, wheelbarrows, books, and fans in gorgeous shades of gorgeous deep purple, gold, forest green, and pale green. Its ends are sewn with gold thread. Taisho period (1912-1925)

A finely sculpted bust of a young man with exceptional patina of finely blended earth and bronze pigments. Physical condition is superb, but a small amount of finish has worn around the left eye and on the top of the head exposing a green substrate, yet harmonious with the earthen finish. Signed on the back of the neck. We have been unable to decipher the signature; yet the work speaks well for the unidentified artist.

Japanese Blue and White Soba Noodle Cup, Showa period, late 1800 to early 1900's, 2 3/4" high, 3" diameter-top rim, tapered top and transfered blue design of flying Phoenix Bird among scrolling vines and leaves, unglazed bottom. The condition is good, some sand spots while firing in the kiln.
Japanese early 20th century woodblock print of a BIJIN by ATARO. Fine color and impression. The print measures 8 1/2" wide by 13" tall.
This child's hat from the remote valleys of Indus Kohistan measures 15 cm in diameter and 45 cm in circumference. Embroidered in an extremely fine tent stitch (petit point) and ladder stitch in acrylic thread, it features a beaded tassel and a horned amulet made of the teeth of a musk deer, believed to repel evil spirits. The hat is estimated to date to the mid or late 20th century and is in excellent condition.

This vintage amethyst Knickerbocker figurine or novelty stem is by Morgantown Glass from the 1940s. These glass tear catchers or weeping bottles were for saving tears of grief. Such blown glass receptacles were placed on dressing tables, and on the first anniversary of the death, the tears were poured over the grave. This bottle is 7 3/8" long by 9/16" in diameter.

A Chinese porcelain teabowl and saucer painted in famille verte enamels with radiating cartouche panels of foliage. The cup decorated on the inside with sprigs of flowers, as well as the underside of the saucer. Both have seal marks in under-glaze blue to the base. Made for the export market.
