This wonderful children's dish set was produced by Hazel Atlas Glass during the 1940's. These sets were called "Little Hostess Party Play" sets and came in a variety of colors. A sweet sterling silver baby ring and teething rattle. The central silver piece shows a clock face where hands can be engraved to indicate the time of birth along with the date, year and the infant's weight. The back side can be engraved with the baby's name. The rattle is suspended in a lucite faux mother-of-pearl teething ring. These rattles are very difficult to find with no monograms or other engraving.

Vintage demitasse cup and saucer by Royal Doulton in the "Reynard the Fox" pattern. The saucer measures approximately 4.5" in diameter and the cup measures approximately 2.5" tall and 2 1/8" in diameter across the base. It has a riding crop detail for the handle that stretches around the base. The fox and crop detail are slightly raised and beautifully hand-painted. The set is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing.

A French Art Deco cocktail pick set in the form of a large snail worked in chrome on a mahogany base. The design is by the famed French Art Deco illustrator Benjamin Rabier, who had a side job designing entertaining barware. The twelve picks have red bakelite finials. Cocktail pick holders ("porte-piques") were once a fixture of every French bar and café. Today, they can be use to spear olives of cherries in a cocktail, or to serve small hors d'oeuvres.

Very well crafted Chinese Cinnabar box, Depicting landscape on the lid with two bands of floral design on the side, this item seems to be from mid to late 20th century period. Size; Height of this item is 2 inches with diameter of 3.5 inches. Condition Report; Excellent condition.

A wonderful etched bakelite box that simulates wood. There are scenes on all sides, top and bottom. Stamped on the bottom. Unfortunately, the piece is mottled with stains and a gentle wiping removed some ink. The lid is actually darker than previous pictures ( see last photo). Price is reduced + sold as is. The front half of the bootee is horizontally ribbed and has two small flowers below the opening,. The rest is covered with a small diamond pattern except for a strip of ribbing in the back. The sole is completely hollow. It is 4 1/8" long and 2 1/4" high. Circa 1900.

Netsuke carved by Ryoshu (born in 1912) - one of the best Japanese netsuke carvers of the 20th century. Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the #1112 8 inch plate in emerald green. Excellent condition, price is per plate. Tableware is very difficult to find in this pattern, so get them while you can. Japanese Blue and White Soba Noodle Cup, Showa period, late 1800 to early 1900's, 2 3/4" high, 3" diameter-top rim, tapered top and transfered blue design of flying Phoenix Bird among scrolling vines and leaves, unglazed bottom. The condition is good, some sand spots while firing in the kiln.

Fabulous C.1950's Shigaraki tea leaf storage jar. Natural, organic glazes from being fired for days in a wood fired climbing kiln. Great condition. 15" tall by 11" in diameter. Ask for shipping quote from CA warehouse.

A vintage hammered copper small pot, unmarked, likely circa first part of the 20th century, with interesting curved handle, and hand placed grommet. Measurements are 4" high not including handle, and about 5 1/4" across at widest. Not the famous Dirk van Erp of the San Francisco Bay area, but nevertheless and interesting piece. There is a dent along the bottom edge as shown.

Northwood Chinese Coral Red Bowl is 9.5" across and the rim is 3-3/8" high. The interior of the bowl is ribbed. This fabulous color is a great chinese red and was made in 1924-25. The two photos show the ribbing and the outside orange color. This is caused by the reheating of the bowl. When it comes out of the mold, it's color is yellow/orange. When it is refired, it turns to the bright red color you see here. It is an opaque red glass.
