A bowl or ashtray in black, still transparent glass. No marks, but Italian (Murano) and probably by Alfredo Barbini, 1950's. The interior iridescent in "oily" rainbow or mother-of-pearl shades so that, in combination with the lobed design, a sea-shell effect is created. The exterior also iridescent, in a metal-like shade. Width: 3 ¾"/10 cm, height: 2"/5 cm. Condition: small nick to bottom at 3 o'clock as shown in the photo, otherwise fine.

Bead Chain fixtures were the standard ceiling fixture of the American home from the 1920’s through the 1940’s. A wooden carved Tibetan mask. The art of Tibetan masks can be classified into religious type and folk type. Exorcising masks were initially held to drive away ghosts and evil spirits. Later were used in local operas. Size: 27cm X 13cm.

A Chinese "Robins Egg" glazed linghzi waterpot in the form of a ruyi-shaped head of a lingzhi fungus, with a bat at the rim and a large chilong on the opposite rim. Glazed all over with the base rim left unglazed.

Measuring 14 x 17 cm, this tobacco pouch from Indus Kohistan is embroidered in extremely fine brick stitch, cross stitch and satin stitch in silk thread. The beaded tassled edges are typical of the embroidery of this remote region of Pakistan. Condition is excellent, estimated age mid to late 20th century.

Ebisu is a diety of fishery which brings plentiful catch and Daikoku is a diety of agriculture which brings good harvest. Both are in excellent condition with an original wood box. 20th century. Antique Chinese Scholars bronze Recumbent Ram Scroll weight with legs tucked under and head turned back the ram has fruit offerings on his back topped with a Ying Yang symbol. The ram shows his age with heavy wear to one eye. Free standing and heavy for the size. Size 2" by 1.5" by .5".

A pair of vintage hand-embroidered make-up bags made by Pashtun nomads from Katawaz, located in Ghazni province, Afghanistan. Each bag is hand-embroidered in silk thread in a tight ladder stitch on a silk background, with some Bukhara stitching where the threads are held down with separate thread in a couching technique, and one bag featuring some small mirrorwork.
