A good bronze footed trumpet vase by Carl Sorensen. The surface is patinated in a dark mottled green and is enhanced with parallel engraved lines forming bands decorated in a darker green patination. The small foot makes this one of Sorensen's more unusual vase designs. Sorensen made a variety of decorative metalwares, but little is known about him. He worked in Pennsylvania, and his pieces were possibly sold by Roycroft and Tiffany...

Two sets of English Art Deco sterling silver cocktail picks, the finials in the form of brightly enameled roosters. Each pick has unusual double tines that firmly hold olives, cherries, etc., and a hook on the back side that can rest on the edge of tall glass to keep them from sinking to the bottom. Cambridge Pistatio Sugar is in mint condition. Only have the sugar, no creamer. Color is pistatio, otherwise, known as vaseline glass, or, by our modern young collectors, uranium glass. It glows under a black light. It measures about 2" high and 4" across. It does have the triangles "C" logo on the bottom.

I acquired this basket in England about fifteen years ago. It measures 18 3/4" across and is about 2 3/4" high. It is dusty and there is a little rim damage (see photos). I found it along with a basket (also listed in my shop) that I believe is of South American origin. So, I cannot say for sure where this one came from----possibly African, possibly South American...more than likely it is NOT of native American origin.....a collector emailed me and said that this very closely resembles baske...

A rare French Art Deco cocktail pick set (“porte-piques”) depicting Aesop’s fable about the raven and the fox. The fox praised the raven so much that the bird opened its mouth to sing and dropped its lunch right into the fox’s waiting mouth. The moral: beware of flattery. This large carved rose quartz snuff bottle is 3 ¼ inches tall, 2 ¼ inches wide and 2 inches in depth. One side depicts a crane standing on one leg and a Ling Zhi (a tree mushroom that symbolizes longevity) in its mouth; the other side depicts a deer facing a pine tree. The snuff bottle is late 1970¡¯s product. It has some natural flaws and some small chips on the top of the rim.

Antique Austrian- Prussian Bronze Griffin form Aquamanile. The tankard griffin the body upon close inspection shows oxblood red lacquer under the trace remains of gold leaf.
