This very rare mug dates from the early period of production at the St. Ives pottery in the 1920s or early ’30s. In those years Leach was developing the designs for his later production and one can see in the body and the handle of this mug characteristics that became typical of the Standard Ware designs of the post-WWII period...

Beautiful, large figure of a young woman carrying a fruit basket. She appears to be running to market, or caught off-guard by a breeze. The figure has many unique elements that point to a Seguso attribution although the piece is unmarked. The flowing dress, and form fitting bodice in sfumato glass, the basket done in textured clear glass with gold powders; the individual pasta glass fruits, the fine attention to details...

An elegant pair of 1st standard (950/1000 pure) silver jiggers by Hermes in the form of tankards. Each is fully hallmarked by Ravinet D'Enfert, the company responsible for most of Hermès silver creations in the Deco era. The bottom of each is marked "Hermès Paris". The jiggers are accompanied by an Hermès drawstring pouch.

A delightful and very rare set of 12 sterling silver cocktail picks with gilt Devil’s head finials presented in their original fitted box. The snarling devils come complete with horns! The picks are presented in their original velvet- and silk-lined fitted case. This is only the second set of Devil picks we’ve managed to find in over 20 years of dealing in vintage barware...

This large aquatic-themed vase by Alfredo Barbini is superbly executed. The sculpted fish have animated expressions as they float through the freely drawn seaweed. This beauty illustrates Alfredo Barbini's mastery of the material. 12" tall, weighs 11 pounds and is in good condition with normal wear at the base.

An elegant sterling silver wine bottle coaster by Tiffany & Co. The sides are beautifully worked in repousse decoration of roses and chrysanthemums with a leaf border at the bottom and a twig border at the top. The coaster is inset with a carved mahogany base centered by a sterling silver disc perfect for monogramming. The coaster is large enough to accommodate a magnum or champagne bottle. The rim is marked “Tiffany & Co./Sterling Silver 925”.

An Art Deco Hawkes Crystal Cocktail (Martini) Pitcher made for Tiffany and with a Tiffany Marked Sterling Lip. Hawkes trefoil mark on base (hard to photograph, but within black marker circle). Dimensions; 9" to lip, 9.75" total, 4.5" diameter. Monogram "KCD" on top. From the 1920's and in excellent condition.

Famous, large and very heavy brass and tile hand wrought footed box showing HENS by Salvador Teran, Mexico, c.1952. Design shows 5 hens heads on top set in black tiles all around the box. The hinged inside is brass as is the bottom. The inside has a black patina which shows it has interacted with another material(see photo) but doesn't affect the integrity of the piece and could be removed. Box measures 8 1/4" long by 6" wide by 2" high...

Large wheel engraved vase depicting birds in trees just leafing out, the design is executed over the entire surface of the vase from base to rim. The shape of the vase is a tapering, pinched, ovoid form. The vase is in exceptional condition, with a couple of light surface scratches on the interior or exterior of the vase as is normally found on older glass; no chips, cracks or repairs...

A Hand Painted Limoges Porcelain Fish Set by Theodore Haviland, Consisting of a Extra Large Platter (23.5" x 10" and 8 plates (9" in diameter). Signed by the artist, "L. Martin". Circa 1900 and in excellent condition.

A vintage bronze Japanese Shishi or Fu Dog Okimono holding a spherical scrolling vine ball. Biting a decorative rope, its mouth is open to expel evil. Made in two parts, the sphere separates from the Shishi.

The Shishi is a mythical creature whose purpose to to protect Buddhism. Often seen at the entrance to Buddhist temples, it guards and protects believers of the faith.

Rare hand blown Bohemian style Murano Glass cobalt blue tea set with applied white enameled flowers in high relief, monogrammed saucers and footed cups. Custom made and purchased on Murano Island, Venice, Italy in the 1900's. Total of 22 pieces, 2 of which are lids, the set offers teapot with lid (8.25" high), sugar with lid (4.5" high), creamer (5.25" high), 5 large footed cups (3.75" high), 6 small footed cups (3" high), 6 saucers (5.5" diameter).

DESCRIPTION: A lovely mounted crib quilt in a tumbling blocks pattern, the colors making the optical illusion of six point stars. Quilt is mounted with light sewing onto stapled muslin, and can be hung in two directions. From the collection of a Pawling, New York collector. DIMENSIONS: 39" x 54".

A Sterling Silver Teapot Made in England for James Robinson, Inc., New York. Styled in the Georgian Manner. Interesting top and spout design. Hallmarked, London 1956, with makers mark "EB", for E. Baker & Son. Dimensions; 7" high x 9.25" handle to spout; weight 22 Troy ounces. Very fine condition.

A sterling silver wine funnel in a classic Georgian design by the luxury English silversmith Asprey & Co. The upper rim is simply decorated in a beaded pattern. The strainer bottom is pierced in a starburst design. The piercing will strain out the larger sediments, and the funnel opens so a piece of muslin or a screen can be inserted to filter even the smallest sediments during decanting. The funnel is fully hallmarked by Asprey and bears the date letter for 1984.

Being offered is a superb handwrought silverplate circa 1968 pitcher made by Los Castillo, of Taxco, Mexico. This handmade allover hammered bulbous pitcher featuring mother of pearl applied inset on stylized body and large curved handle. Dimensions are 8 inches tall by 8 inches across the handle. No monogram. Marked. In excellent condition.

Cylindrical decanter in light blue, pink and white 'a canne' with a matching globular stopper. Stopper has a clear glass flange and neck. Neither the stopper nor the neck of the bottle is ground. The bottle stands 17 1/2 inches tall with it's stopper (15 1/8 inches without) and is 3 1/2 inches in diameter at the base. Retains its round blue and silver Made in Murano sticker on the base. There are two small black inclusions midway up the body of the decanter, each about the size of a pinhead...

20th century glass Venetian Figurine in excellent condition, although unmarked, is probably made by Seguso or Barovier. I am advised by an expert in the field that the leaf supporting the figure at the base suggests Seguso. The polychrome canne jacket and the abundant gold leaf applications illustrate the mastery of the Muranese glassblowers. The figurine is 10.5" tall, in great condition, obviously kept in a cabinet over the years, and bears an import label.

Exceptional bowl form with scrolled rim by Ercole Barovier. It is in excellent condition, no damage, unmarked. 11"w x 5"h x 5.5"d. Available at a reduced rate if purchased with the group at item 073. They belong together.

Chippendale Sterling Silver Oval Tray by Gorham, with the Date Mark for 1946. It is marked with the Gorham Trade Marks, Sterling, 117, 15.5", and Chippendale. It is 15.5" in length and 11" across, and the sides are 3/4" high. The weight is 26 ounces. No monogram and it is in mint condition.

Sterling Silver modernist bowl by Alfredo Sciarrotta (Italian-American 1907-1985), in sleek biomorphic form on open work scrolled foot, signed on bottom. Measures 9" wide, 3 1/4" high, and 4 1/2" wide. Nice heavy quality, all hand crafted, very subtle and lovely shape to body of bowl, on lovely scrolled foot rim with S shaped sections. Sciarrotta was born in Italy, moved to the US in 1943 due to his expertise and experience with underwater technology and assistance to the US Navy...

This set of bar tools in Tiffany's classic "Bamboo" pattern includes a bottle/can opener, ice pick and fruit knife, all with gilt sterling silver handles. This is a wonderful design that looks as stylish today as it did in when conceived by the designer Van Day Truex in 1961. The set is presented in its original fitted velvet-lined box Tiffany blue box. Each piece is marked "Tiffany & Co. Makers Sterling".

Whimsical modernist lamp which certainly looks like a Venini. The shade is lattimo with a transparent gold pink bow. The brass base is good minimalist modern design and adequately supports the shade. A fitted gasket facilitates a snug fit of the shade. Measuring 13"x15"x18"h., the lamp is unmarked

An Excellent Heavy Sterling Silver Lobed Edge Dish by Tiffany, with the mark for John C. Moore and dating from the 1920's. Dimensions; 9.25" in diameter x 1" high; weight a heavy 17.4 Troy ounces. there is a monogram in the center. Excellent condition.

Wonderful colorless bulbous Steuben cologne bottle, shape 3404, with amethyst cintra rim at the top and having the original amethyst cintra petal stopper. The bottle is unsigned and is 3 3/4 inches in diameter and stands 5 inches tall with the stopper. There is a large polished pontil mark.

This Fazzoletto bowl utilizes the filigrana a retortoli technique, used in Murano since the 16th century; jade green and lattimo "netted" vertical canes produce this elegant coloring. Venini's fazzoletto design is documented in numerous books, most recently in "Paulo Venini and His Furnace" by Marino Barovier and Carla Sunego, P.131. Made in the 1950's, this beauty is 4"hx5"w and in excellent condition

A delightful and very rare French Art Deco silverplate cocktail shaker with enamel recipe decoration by Deschamps Frères of Paris. The enameled decoration depicts a pair of scrolled documents with seals presenting recipes for “Torelli” and “Winter Palace” cocktails. Both are rather unusual variations on a classic martini. Twelve inch tall Libbey milk pitcher as shown in the 1930 - 32 Libbey Nash catalog as shape K - 527. The 32 ounce capacity pitcher is decorated hooked rose threading and has a plain applied strap handle. The pitcher is signed with the Libbey circle on the polished pontil.

A lovely set of Cartier silverplated cocktail picks, buffet markers and champagne whisks, presented in their original fitted and embossed case. The finial of each pick is pierced with “Shou” the Chinese symbol for “longevity.” The double-sided finials allow the picks to double as buffet markers, by inserting a small card to identify cheese, charcuterie or finger sandwich selections presented on a cocktail buffet table.
