This porcelain figural group was produced in Germany by Hutschenreuther in the 1950s. The modeler’s name, K. Tutter, is impressed into the base. The figurine is 7 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Tutter’s work is recognizable by his attention to detail and the sweet faces he gives to his subjects. This pair of parakeets look so adorable together. The yellow parakeet is grooming the blue one. They are so life-like and actually life size. The coloring is brilliant and realistic...

This stylized conch is documented in several publications, including Leslie Pinas' ITALIAN GLASS, PG 146, valued at $800-$1000 and Helmut Ricke & Eva Schmitts' ITALIAN GLASS. This modern expression of the conch shell exemplifies that even as the Murano glass designers were being influenced by the Modernist movement, life and elements from the Venetian Lagoon continued to serve as an inspiration for artists. Measuring 6.5"w x 3.5" x 5.5"h, the Conchiglie is in good condition, unmarked.

Exquisitely detailed clown sculpture in a variety of polychrome techniques with aventurine. There are remnants of a paper label. I'm not sure who made this, but my colleagues in Murano responded to the piece with a resounding "bello"! 9"h x3.5" x 3.5"

A superb example of modern glass design by Anzolo Fuga for AVEM. A very similar vessel is documented in Rosa Barovier Menstasi's book, ANZOLO FUGA, in the"Multicolor Rods and Murrine" section, page 61. This vessel has the same murrine and colored rod as pictured in the book, with a more slender neck that exudes elegance. This exceptional modern vessel is is 17.75" tall and is excellent condition.

A convincing replica of a shell by the master Alfredo Barbini in crystal and pink lattimo, with a soft veil of gold dust on both interior and exterior. The luminescence on the interior of the piece with its dusting of gold give the shell an authentic look. In flawless condition, 8"x6"x3", unmarked.

A vintage sterling silver figural jigger by Gorham, the sides marked off with enameled stoplights in green, yellow and red meant to signify "go," "caution," and "stop." Each light corresponds to the 1, 2-1/2, and 3-1/2 ounce markings on the jigger's bottom. This example is noticeably heavier than other Gorham stoplights we've had, suggesting that it's of an earlier date. The bottom is hallmarked by Gorham.

Unusual basket form similar to Archimede Segusos' foglia designs. The form is colored a subtle gold pink with bullicante bubbles and ribs. This fine sculptural expression demonstrates the skill of the Murano glassblowers, measures 7"w x 6"d x 9"h, and is unmarked.

A sterling silver vermouth dispenser in the form of a watering can by Cartier. When tipped, the dispenses sprinkles a drip or two of vermouth into the glass for the perfect martini. The bottom is marked “Cartier Sterling.” These cans were made specifically for Cartier’s New York store.

A fine, colorful boxed set of six sterling silver coffee or demitasse spoons with gilt and guilloche enamel decoration by the Birmingham silversmith, Turner & Simpson. The delicate shades of the guilloche enamel are accented with white champlevé enamel. Turner & Simpson sold sets such as this through luxury jewelers such as Garrard and Asprey in London. Each spoon is fully hallmarked by the maker. The set is presented in its original fitted box.

Sleek modern designed amethyst sommerso candle holders with carved surface texture, incisio, by Paolo Venini are 10" tall and in excellent condition. The bases have the 3 line acid stamp vinini murano italia.

Both Parenti and Peruzzi have used this Baby Motif and the bow is so Parenti, however because it is marked 800 yet unsigned, it is most likely Peruzzi from Italy (leaving Boston Peruzzi, Cini and Parenti out, who worked in the American stardard of Sterling) with a nice heavy Gold wash. 3 piece Screw back Dangle Earrings are 2.25" long and .75" wide and very, very nice condition at good weight of .4 oz or 14 Grams on postal scale.

Superb and very tall lamp by Ercole Barovier. It is in great condition! The hardware has an attractive patina commensurate with its age. The lamp is nicely complemented by the vase and bowl of the previous listings. Lamp measures 28" to the top of the glass and 44" to the top of the finial.

A stunning cotton satin pillow made from a luxurious vintage damask brocade fabric in the style of Fortuny, featuring an ornate repeating pattern of flora and fauna in striking colors of lemon/chartreuse and soft blue, tassel fringe, most likely Italian, circa 1940's. Excellent condition.

A very handsome cut crystal decanter in a most striking shade of green. The decanter, cut with vertical prisms, is very heavy and of the finest quality. The style is very similar to Moser’s post-war designs, and may in fact be by Moser, although it is unsigned.

Circa 1949-1955, this is a very rare Hector Aguilar coffee / tea pot.

I can't find another identical to this. Absolutely collector quality. His signature square handle has two wood inserts. Lid is hinged, spout is curved, and the design is magnificent. No repairs, no dents, dings, dimples. Hinge is strong and perfect.

Weight on this is 33.22 troy ounces, 1,033 grams, so over 2 lbs.

Large wheel engraved vase depicting birds in trees just leafing out, the design is executed over the entire surface of the vase from base to rim. The shape of the vase is a tapering, pinched, ovoid form. Three piece sterling silver and rosewood tea set by Tango Aceves circa 1950. The teapot measures approximately 6.75" tall and approximately 5" in diameter. The handle is 4" long. It weighs approximately 1.5 lbs. The tea cup is an elegantly simple round bowl measuring 3.5" in diameter by 1.75" deep. It weighs 103.3 grams. The creamer measures 3.5" in diameter with a .75" spout. The handle is 2.75" long. It weighs 148.4 grams.

A classic mid-century sterling silver jigger by Smith & Smith and retailed by Black, Starr & Gorham, one of America's leading luxury stores in the 1950s. The jigger is simply decorated with a series of three incised rings that do double duty as markers for variously sized pours. The bottom is fully hallmarked. The jigger is presented with its original felt pouch and gift box, both marked "Black, Starr & Gorham."

Charming stylized donkey in the "colorization without fusion" technique by Ercole Barovier. On a recent visit to Murano, I showed a photo of this donkey to Lino Toso, director of the Barovier Toso Museum, and he said he could confirm 80% that this is the work of Ercole. The donkey measures 5.25"h x 2.25"w x 3.25"d, in good condition, unmarked.

Fratelli Toso Rose Bowl constructed of Cattedrale (or Tiffany Window) murrines in reds, greens, yellows and blue. The murrines feature clear "windows" of glass.Some have "bullseye" configurations in the clear window and black (nerox) glass frames. This is a delightful 4 inch (10.2 cm) diameter bowl with a height of 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) due to the polished top. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Circa 1955.

Sumptuous sculpted sommerso bowl in ever so soft hues of teal and amber glass. My guess is that this is a Flavio Poli design due to the purity of form and soft hues of color. Obviously inspired by the nature of the Venetian Lagoon, this piece resembles a birds eye view of the island of Murano and its surrounding Lagoon. The base of the bowl was protected over the years by three felt pads added to the bottom, so the piece is in great condition. It measures 9.5"w x 3"h, unmarked.

Terrific Gorham silverplate figural shot glass in the form of an early American leather fire bucket. The front side is enameled with the emblem of the Chicago Fire Department surrounded with the words “Little Giant Engine Co. 1871”. The back side is modeled to show the leather handle. A handsome mid-century sterling silver gavel-style double jigger with a turned ebony handle. Gavel jiggers are usually in a more traditional style, but the plain lines of the silver and relatively simple handle give this example a nice mid-century modernist feel. The jigger is marked by Boardman, a silversmith who sold under their own mark and also manufactured barware for Cartier's New York store.

A Pair of Rorstrand Blue and White Porcelain Mugs, featuring a Lion and Crowns. Swedish (20th century). Size 0.5 liter; dimensions 6.25" high x 3.75".

A classic Art Deco figural cocktail shaker in the form of traditional milk can by Reed & Barton. The “Milk Can” was introduced in 1959 and came in two sizes, with the 32-ounce size retailing for $35. This shaker was a luxury product and was made with Reed & Barton’s highest quality plating. The bottom is stamped “Reed & Barton/27/32 oz.” It also retains the original paper lable.

This is a handsome pair of Indian hand-carved ivory spice holders. Each unscrews into three sections. The removable perforated tops have elephant finials and the largest section is heavily carved with a scene of a lion pursuing a fawn. Measurement: Height: 4 1/2 inches. Condition: very good.

If you don't collect Jadeite, this one might get you started. It is provocative and unique among Jadeite wares, featuring a voluptuous nude female figure on each of the 3 sides of the vase. Good condition with original base punch hole intact. The main defect is 2 parallel small tight cracks about 2 millimeters. There is also some faint discoloration around this condition. Dimension: 8 1/2" tall

A witty cocktail pick holder in the form of a marching drum. The drum is made of aluminum and is finished with a sort of rubberized coating and real string to mimic the rope ties on an old-fashioned drum. The ten picks have colorful ball finials.
