This is one of the Steuben animals that I have never seen before. Measuring 5" high, he was introduced in 1974, and I don't know when he was discontinued, but I know he isn't available anymore. He is in perfect condition. It is Steuben number 8293.

Moderntone was produced by Hazel Atlas Glass from 1934 - 42. Offered here is the custard cup in amethyst. (Hazel Atlas called this color 'burgundy' when it was originally made, but it's a rich amethyst color.) Very good condition, there is slight inner rim roughness along the mold line - typical for this piece as they were stacked and the inner lip is sharp. I have 2 available, price is per custard. Delightful sterling silver ostrich sculpture from Taxco, Mexico. Designed and produced in the early 1950's, it is fully hallmarked. The intricately detailed head, neck, feathers, legs and feet are attached to the body which is a hard stone egg. In excellent condition, this rare find stands tall measuring 5" high by 5.75" head to tail.

The background is dark green on one side and grey on the reverse, edged with a dark red crisscross fringe on all sides. Perfectly sized for either a twin bed blanket or a wearable wrap.
