This is a rarely found object as part of Wilhelm Kåge's celebrated Argenta series produced for Gustavsberg. It measures 1 5/8" tall and is 1 7/8" in diameter. On the underside is painted in silver Argenta, the old Gustavsberg anchor insignia, Gustavsberg, 958. Impressed is the letter S. Excellent condition. There is crazing, which is normal for the glaze.
Rare blue tile and brass footed pitcher of Mayan figure design by Salvador Teran, Mexico, c.1955. Handwrought and very heavy weight, the brass pitcher has a band of blue tiles going down the handle and around the center of the body with 6 brass Mayan figures. Measures 7" high by 5 1/4" diameter and is signed "HANDWROUGHT SALVADOR HECHO EN MEXICO 433". This dish set includes four 5 7/8 inch plates, four 4 1/4 inch saucers, four 2 3/4 inch diameter tea cups, a 2 1/2 inch high creamer and a 2 1/2 inch high two-handled sugar bowl. The original box measures 14 long X 11 1/2 wide X 4 1/2 inches high...

This is a large vase, and rather heavy, 21 1/2" long, 11" across, signed with a "P" in the chalky base. I've examined it closely and find no chips on rim or anywhere else. The piece is entirely hand thrown and decorated/painted, and quite Arts and Craftsy in feeling. I am a paintings specialist so this is somewhat out of my league. I did send images to Rago Auction in New Jersey and they were unable to identify the maker. It was found here in Southern California...

Unusual small 7 ½ inch diameter Paipoint cut glass plate with sterling silver reticulated rim. The plate is cut with Pairpoint’s pattern No 0137. as shown in “The Pairpoint Glass Knowledge Center” website. The silver rim is marked “Sterling, 5591" along with the maker’s mark of the silversmith. The plate is quite heavy for its’ size. In excellent condition.
This beautiful comport was made by the Consolidated Glass Company as part of the Martele line. Designed by Reuben Haley, the piece was produced in the late 1920's.
