Three German dishes with sprayed decoration in black and brown/orange. Geometric Déco style, around 1930. Mark to one dish: Made in Germany, Mustersch(utz) = Protected Pattern, and stamped mark depicting a traditional workman. Diameter "6¾/ 17 cm. Condition: fine.

Basket weave rectangular cache-pot/flower pot and interior liner by Waechtersbach. Decoration of green dots and a printed flower border in late Art Nouveau or Jugendstil style, also running over the handles of the pot. The liner left undecorated. Impressed shield mark and printed blue mark "Wächtersbach" and a black printed mark, possibly a year mark for 1923, December. Width including handles "7¼/ 18,5 cm, height "2¼/ 5,5 cm. Condition: a hairline visible from the inside of one handle.

A Rosenthal (Selb Bavaria) Inkstand; White with Gilt and Burnt Orange Florals. Dimensions 12" wide x 7" deep x 2.25" high. Marked December 2, 1931, possibly as a gift date, with the inkstand slightly earlier. Monogrammed. Very modest wear under the bottom of base; Excellent condition overall.

An American Sterling Silver Center Bowl or Fruit Bowl in the "Irish" Pattern from Bailey, Banks and Biddle and Made for them by Watson Co., of Attleboro, MA. From the 1920's. Dimensions; 10.5" in diameter x 3" high. Weight; 18.3 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

Unusual pair of colorful Copeland vases. Some signs of wear, i.e., a small chip on the base of one and light scuff marks. 7" x 3 1/2"

This vase was produced by the Consolidated Glass Company as part of the Martele line. Designed by Reuben Haley, the vase was produced in the late 1920's. The vase is listed in the Consolidated catalog as the #2753 Pine-Cone vase, and measures 6 1/2 inches high. The glass is light blue with a satin/acid etched interior to give more dimension to the details in the pattern. Excellent condition. See my other listings for more Consolidated Glass.

Dancing Nymph is the correct name for this Consolidated pattern - it's sometimes called "Dance of the Nudes" due to listings in depression glass books under that name. Originally produced in 1928, it's a wonderful pattern for the deco collector as well as glass lovers. These 4 1/2 inch berry bowls are very special...

When I looked up this Cobalt Stem made by the Huntington Tumbler Company, I didn't realize that they had two styles: "Ding" and "Dong" -- Really!! It's in the Hazel Weatherman's Book 2. We have three of these stems (Ding), all in mint condition. Who said that glass companies had no sense of humor?

An English Bursley Ware bowl by Charlotte Rhead, 1940s, of square shape. Slip-glaze decoration in the Carnations or T. L. 40 pattern in blue and gilt on off-white, marbled ground. Factory mark and TL 40 = pattern number and the mark of the painter who applied the raised decoration, Mary Powell. Height "2¼/ 6 cm, width (diagonally) "4¾/ 12 cm. Condition: fine. Please note that all the little dots and accents that unfortunately look brown on the photos are really in gilt.

Pair of American Edwardian glass and sterling silver candlesticks, ca 1920. Each: Faceted glass socket with flat rim mounted to same tapering shaft with relief diaper and faceted base. Raised and sterling silver foot. Marked “S819 / Sterling / 58 PWTS.” Very good condition.

DESCRIPTION: A very good woven oak-splint basket in lobed buttocks form, used as a field gathering basket or a market basket for goods. This large early 1900’s Pennsylvania basket has a sturdy bentwood handle with double bentwood-wrapped rims; old varnish finish. Very good condition with minor usage wear. For size reference, the last photo in this listing shows this basket displayed on top of our Country Corner Cabinet (#A-CBL2). DIMENSIONS: 20” wide x 17" high.

22104767 A 6 3/4 inch tall Steuben wine glass signed on the foot with the Steuben acid stamped block letter mark. The wine glass has an amethyst cut to clear cup engraved in an unknown pattern as shown on several items in the Carder shape gallery. The wine glass is shape 6505 and is in pristine condition.

This porcelain and metal dresser box was produced in France by Tharaud Limoges before 1930. It has a double mark which signifies that the porcelain and the decoration were done in the factory. The box has a gilded metal frame and foot. We don't know what the metal is. It measures 5 1/4 inches across and 3 1/2 inches high. The decoration on the lid is bold and striking in the art deco manner. The stylized flowers and abstract lines melt and flow into each other...

Art Déco vase by Camille Tharaud, 1925-30. Camille Tharaud (1878-1956) came from a family of porcelain makers in Limoges. He collaborated with designers like Marcel Goupy and Henri Rapin. At the International exhibition of modern decorative and industrial arts in Paris 1925, Tharaud was prized for his technique of high-fire enamelling directly onto the raw porcelain. The slightly iridescent brown, blueish black and light blue glaze of this bulbous-like vase is an example...

An attractive 3-7/8" high open hatpin holder c1920s. This holder features attractive hand painting and gold trim, and it is from the Byzanta Ware line, issued by Royal Winton Grimwades of England. This vanity item has the Byzanta stamp, an impressed 8 and a gold handwritten 4862 pattern number.
