An unusual mid-Century Taxco version of the classis sterling silver thimble jigger. Like most Mexican silver of the era, this piece has tremendous weight and a simple charm. The rim is engraved “Just A Thimbleful 1-1/4”. The bottom bears the hallmark of A. Dominguez and the Eagle stamp used in the late 1950s.

This is a fine sterling silver small bowl in the "ROSE" pattern by Stieff, beautifully executed with a raised lip and heavily decorated border of embossed roses with foliage, circa 1947. The bottom is marked STIEFF, STERLING, M and 53, center monogram "M". Condition: excellent; Size: 5 1/2" diam.; 1 1/4" high.

This fine china is the American Franciscan Ivy pattern. The dinner plate is 10 3/8" in diameter, embossed, and hand-painted under glaze. It was made by the Gladding, McBean & Company circa 1948

Chippendale Sterling Silver Oval Tray by Gorham, with the Date Mark for 1946. It is marked with the Gorham Trade Marks, Sterling, 117, 15.5", and Chippendale. It is 15.5" in length and 11" across, and the sides are 3/4" high. The weight is 26 ounces. No monogram and it is in mint condition.

20th century glass Venetian Figurine in excellent condition, although unmarked, is probably made by Seguso or Barovier. I am advised by an expert in the field that the leaf supporting the figure at the base suggests Seguso. The polychrome canne jacket and the abundant gold leaf applications illustrate the mastery of the Muranese glassblowers. The figurine is 10.5" tall, in great condition, obviously kept in a cabinet over the years, and bears an import label.

Superb Murano glass figurines by Alfredo Barbini. A colleague in Venice who is a dealer in Vintage Murano Glass told me he witnessed these figurines being made at the Barbini factory in the 1950's. A very uncommon graduated sterling silver handled jigger by one of Mexico’s most important Art Deco and modernist silversmiths, Juvento Lopez Reyes. He opened his studio, Plateria del Recreo in 1935, making most streamlined hollowware items in the Art Deco and modernist taste.
